I have a dell 32 inch lcd tv, and after a few minutes of the tv being on, the volume no longer responds. There is still sound, but cannont change it. Same for any other menu controls. Seems as if everything freezes once it "warms" up so to speek. But video and sound are fine. Just no control after a few...anyways, ayone know why it does this? and what could be done to fix it..and how much? thanks
I had the same problem with my tv.No sound! I finally figured it out. It was the speaker wires! Once I changed them to a slightly stronger speaker wire, it worked great! I have sound to my tv and I haven't had any problems since then.
We also have a 32" LCD Dell flat screen tv #W3201C that has no sound. It's about 2/12 yrs old. One speaker started having a problem and we disconnected it. That was a couple weeks ago, now there is no sound at all. Dell should not be let off the hook so easily. Obviously there is a problem with the tv and it should be Dell's responsibility to make it right. Does anyone know if a class action suit has been initiated?
we were able to solve our volume problem with the Dell TV volume problem. We bought a surround sound system and it takes the place of the now non-functioning tv sound card. works great. So now we don't have to throw out our tv which is only 2 1/2 yrs old.
where in the back of the did you plug it in at....what type of system did you buy...please help

We also have a 2 1/2 year old Dell 32" LCD TV with a severe sound problem. The problem ranges from no sound to an annoying pulsing sound.
Flubba bought a surround sound system to take the place of the sound card. I don't know how that works or why that works. Is it the sound card or the speakers? We tried external speakers and it didn't work at all. HELP.

Well I did the same thing, the only thing is that the Volume works fine if you read it fully. When the TV is turned on..it works...can turn it up..turn it down....then when the TV warms up, I can no longer turn it up and down. I can no longer access the menue screen or change the device imput. So the sound card is working fine, its whatever makes it respond to the buttons. Only thing that works is the power button. but thank you for your reply :)
The voice on the Dell W3201 32" LCD TV experiences sound (audio)problems. Once warmed up, the sound becomes garbled and then fails to produce any sound. Any suggestions on where should I take this for repairs and what part is suspected of causing the malfunction? Many thanks.
I purchased a 32-inch DELL TV with detachable speakers thru QVC. First one speaker went out, now the other. Of course, the tv is out-of-warranty. I can't believe. Has anyone heard anything more about this problem? I beleive that DELL AND QVC must have known there was a problem, QVC has not carried this particular model for some time.
I have the same problem and was told to costly to fix. Ship to Ohio? What a bunch of c--->
The sound goes out on these 32" TV's after about 2 years. Dell is aware of the issue. They are working hard to ignore it. They no longer sell/support (Dell)TV's. They will offer to remedy the problem by selling you another (repaired?)TV for only 20% more than the price of a new one. I have called several times and sent several emails to customer (non)service. I sent an email to MD and finally got a response ( a flunkie sent a link to a repair place, they would not touch it). I think maybe it's time MD should get another email, or 2 or 3 or ?...
