Canon Pixma yellow color problem

I have installed new cartridges on my Canon Pixma IP4200 printer, done Deep cleaning, even cleaned/washed the print heads following by one instruction I found, but printer does not print the 100% bright, pure yellow color. I was trying to print a 100% Y colored page many times, but it comes out at 10-15% saturation. Even more - the yellow does not look pure - Cyan or Magenta dots supplements that yellow tone. Cyan and Magenta 100% tones for me looks +/- ok for home printing. What can I do to get a bright 100% yellow printing?

Either the ink you are using is not going to give the color you want, or you have print heads that are blocked.

Yellow ink in canon cartridges become dry quickly. I have used 14 cartridges all have cyan magenta well working but Yellow disapears after few pages prints. I have opened one cartridge and found yellow turned powder form inside.

Just changed the yellow cartridge. The printer says it's full. No ink. Same thing with last cartridge. Tried deep cleaning.

Ok I understand the printer says its full but are you saying your computer says no ink? or that it prints no yellow ink?

Ok assuming you mean that it prints no yellow ink, the culprit ususally means that the print head needs replacing! Call Canon with your model and you can buy the part for new print heads for your printer

Pixma ip4200 willl not print Cyan

I think the problm lies between the ink tank and the printhead. When this passage runs dry, sometimes it takes time for the ink to fill this passage again. Try printing again after a day or two.

Pixma IP4200- not printing color

If it's a generic ink, try another one, if it's a Canon ink, make sure the tape on top is removed, it covers an air vent, if that doesn't help, you need a new printhead, QY6-0059-000 around $40.00

Canon pixma ip4200 colours are yellowy orange on teh photos - dont match on screen colour nozzle check shows the second of the cyan lines as very faint

(Had already done two deep cleans)
1. removed all print cartridges keeping them together and upright
2. qtip (cotton ball on a small plastic stick) soaked in generic nail varnish remover {alcohol based)
3 cleaned print head where cartridge sits repeatedly until no more ink came off on the cotton wool
4. did a deep clean twice
printer then functioned properly

PGBK won't print -

Had this same problem with my 5 year old MP830. It was the print head. I bought a new one from http://groveofficeproducts.com. Works like a charm.

Printing Problem

Look for ink clogged on the printer head. Run cleaning or deep cleaning after installing the new cartridge before printing. Take nozzle check print.
