Coby has released a firmware upgrade for the MP-610 MP3 Player. I recommend you download it and run it to fix your device. You can find the download and installation instructions on the Tip I posted on the FixYa Website.
I had the exact same problem. I tried formating and fiddling around with everything I could think of, but to no avail. But the answer to fixing the problem is relatively simple. I just went to the cobyusa website into the support section, chose the device, and used the firmware download. It wipes your player clean but fixes the file system error. hope it works for you as well.
i think your mp3 player have its own program, file system error have all symptoms maybe in your windows system or in your mp3 player software, heres a tip: install a firmware of your mp3 player, run the scandisk or defrag your MP3 player... if the error exist try to insert your mp3 player to another computer to check if the problem is exist.
Check the format of the music you are playing and if you have music that requires the license it will load the music but not play. It will show up as a file error.
