The washer is giving a code of "F2" & not draining properly.. any idea?

F2 code is water level to high

Asko Washer Error Codes
• F1--Water supply/low water fill.

It is possible that the brushes on the motor that spins the drum are worn down. The drum will start and stop when this happens. Check the brushes.

The F2 error code mean that the washer didn't drain the water within the normal time it takes to drain,usually the reson the washer hasn't drained properly is because the filter screen on the drain pump is clogged with debris. this tip i have written will show ya how to clean the filter on the pump.

F02 is a drain error in your Kenmore washer, if the unit is unable to drain then after 4 minutes it will display suds and then F02. The first thing that should be done is cleaning the drain hose and the drain pump filter, you can take out three torx screws from the bottom front panel and then clean the area completely, lift up the cap to clean the filter. If the error returns then check the drain pump if it is not working then replacing the pump is recommended repair. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

1 check the drain hose to make sure its not kinked.
2 unplug the machine
3 check the electrical plug at the pump and make sure that the pump runs
4 check the drain pump filter for foreign objects
5 plug washer back in
6 if the above does not fix the problem go to #7
7 unplug machine
8 Replace the pump

If it is like mine you remove the 3 screws from the very bottom. The cover will come off. I just had this same problem. In the center bottom there is a white cover that unscrews. Beware you may have a bunch of water come out. In there is a screen. I found a couple baby socks stuck in there. Look up the tube from the drum as well. Good luck.

You washer might have all kind of problems. You need to check all the below :-

Check the drain hose and make sure it is not plugged or inked.
* Check Wire Harness connectors to the Drain Pump, Pressure Switch, and Central Control Unit (CCU)
* Check/Clean Drain Pump Filter of foreign objects
* Check for Drain Pump Failure
* Check the Inlet Valve for proper shut off
* Check the Pressure switch for proper operation

Are you using HE rated detergent? You MUST use HE (high efficiency) rated detergent in this washer. Your washer uses less water than traditional machines. With less water, the wash action can create too much sudsing when regular detergent is used. The lack of HE use will also cause the machine to use a greater amount of water and cause your error code F09.

F2=Long Drain If the drain time exceeds 8 mins the water valves are turned off and F02 is displayed
Check drain hose
check pump filter for foreign objects
check pump motor for proper operation
