Computer does not recognize Gigabeat Device

On my old computer the device worked well.  I recently bought a new computer (using Windows Vista).  I downloaded the Gigabeat Program with no problem - the program opens to the Gigabeat Room and it recognizes the music on my PC and on CD's, but it does not allow me to open the gigabeat device (to see all my music on my MP3).  What can I do to get my computer to recognize the Gigabeat Device so that I can get back to putting music on it??

well my laptop had a virus and my dad took it to get it fix now when i want to put more music or see the music i have in my mp3 it dosent let me!!!!!

Not Recognized?

Hi,
The device driver is causing a conflict with the system. If you have got any specific cd with hardrive install the driver from the cd. Otherwise , i would suggest try changing he manufacturer of the hdd and get a new one. If you have recently bought it.
Otherwise try creating a new account in windows vista on your computer and then try plugging in the drive

I have a Toshiba Gigabeat F60 from several years ago. It stopped working shortly after I got it and now I would like to try to get it working again. Upon start up it says "no system found oh HDD" but my...

The Gigabeat is not recognizing the firmware on it. The easiest way to re-install the firmware is to install Gigaroom. It will be able to recognize the Gigabeat and replace the firmware.

Slmgato: have you tried to delete the old pairing on wmdc?

also to the other users: check the usb charge port on the tilt. Make sure it has not been bent or the pins have not been damaged. My tilt recently was damaged and now i can't charge or sync, but i can buy the replacement port for about 10 bucks and solder it myself.

Philips HDD6330/17 suddenly not recognized by Vista

Check which version of Windows Media Player you have loaded.
Open Windows Media Player. Click "Help" and "about". This should show which version you have.
Windows Automatic Updates may hve updated to version 11.

The Philips HDD6330 is only compatible with version 10 under Windows XP.

If you have version 11, then uninstall and it should roll back to version 10.

Computer does not recognize Gigabeat Device

the solution is simple. Simply Run both Gigabeat watcher and giga-room programs as administrator if u have windows vista.
How to do this :

Click on start in the taskbar at the bottom right of your screen,
then click on all programs,
then click on the Toshiba Gigaroom Folder,
then right click Gigabeat watcher and click on "Run as Administrator"
then right click "Gigaroom" and click on Run as Administrator

and then look in the bottom right of the taskbar, the little Gigabeat watcher symbol should be there with a green square instead of grey. If its green then it means Vista has recognised your gigabeat and u can now transfer music to it via gigaroom. i hope this helps people as i was on the verge of buying XP myself again... Peace all and HAPPY GIGABEATIN!
