This PC has a design fault, with inadequate cooling.
I managed to squeeze in 2 fans side by side, where there is normally only one fitted in the case. It requires cutting away some metal so not a simple fix but it now keeps the case internal temperature down well within a safe working temp.
Unfortunately I didn't implement this fix soon enough, and ran it too hot for too long causing a motherboard fault that sometimes trips out the power supply when you try to boot up. Ho hum.

Does it beep at all?
If so, read up on beep codes:
Different PC manufacturers have different BIOS Boot codes.
Read first
http://pcsupport.about.com/od/nonworkingcomponent/ht/beepcodestb.htm
Then read:

The blue power light and the blue and red battery lights keep flashing and won't stop Why?

Sounds like the battery itself is going bad and needs to be replaced. The blinking lights are a code that you can find at the OEM website and it will tell you exactly what is going on..

My aspire L100 will not boot. When on button pressed blue light comes on and then goes off straight away and fan starts Ok but nothing else

You may need a new power supply....also check your internal fans to make sure they are spinning. Make sure memory is seated properly. Motherboard may also be in question. Try unplugging letting it sit for a few then plugging back in.

My Acer Aspire L100 PC Desktop won't start.. when i press power button it only flash LED light jus one time but no HDD sound or CDROM working sound. only CPU fan works thas bout it...Any help? pls

Do you see anything on the screen?

Try the following things:
  1. Try starting the computer with only the battery
  2. Remove the battery and try booting with only the power adapter
  3. Try removing and replacing your memory
Could be a bad power supply or bad battery. After you try the above steps, report your results.

Forgot Acer Aspire L100 BIOS master password. Used "cmospwd /k" to remove password, but power was cut accidentally. Now, machine starts POST (keyboard lights flash), but there is no display.

In cas eof forgot password of bios you must follow the following steps
  • open the cabinet and look for the bios on the corner
  • there u would find a pin which is fixed on the side of BIOS take the pin out and put it in the next two pins and again fix it at the original p
Now your BIOS password is reset and u can access your pc

Samsung L100 wont turn on

Samsung's have notorious problems with their lens-cap shutters malfunctioning. This seems to be the case with yours. It will have to be serviced, I'm afraid.

I own a acer aspire L100

You have a PCI slot in the computer. If it's available, you can get a 256MB or 512MB PCI video card. Anything you get would be an improvement to the internal card you have. Just familiarize yourself with your monitor's inputs - DVI (the white connector) or VGA (the blue connector).
