Have you had your Ps3 drive tell you its just will not read?

Here are some major causes:

1. Dirty drive.
2. Motor not spinning the disc fast enough.
3. Bad optical laser.

Step 1

Listen for the drive does it spin up?
Listen for the read head.
Put a audio disc in does it play?

If a audio disc plays but not dvd,blueray, or game disc you got a bad laser.

I recommend you do the following:

1. Make sure you match up you serial number on your unit.
2. Purchase the whole kit not just the laser.
