First Option :

Connect your computer directly thru Router LAN Port. now
If your Computer is configured thru Static IP address then change it get IP address thru DHCP. and Re start the computer. So it will get IP address from Router and you will be able to access Router Admin thru browser.

Second Option

You will have to reset router to factory defaults. To do that ; There will be Tiny Hole or Switch on Router Back side or front side.
Using strait Paper Clip wire ; Put in that wire in that hole and give very light pressure for 5 to 10 second. Make sure that router is Power ON.

So your router will be resetted to Factory default. Now reconfigure it

Laptop stopped connecting via wifi to home network.

The wireless settings in the Belkin has been setup with encryption.
You can restore the Belkin back to the factory default by powering up the Belkin and press the RESET button for 7 secs.
It is not wise to leave your wireless router unsecured, anyone can access your network and Internet connection and use up your allocated download limit. Once you exceed your download limit you could be slug with addition charges - this depends upon your contract with your ISP.

Did a pc resolve on my desktop now no internet connection, cept on wireless not on desktop..says unsecured?

You may have forgot your network key (encryption key) but do you have your password for your router? if so you can use a wired connection to login and create a new encryption key. If you cant login to your router you will have to set it back to default and reprogram it

I have just got a Belkin N1 vision wireless modem router. I have set it up and have it working ok on a Unsecure wireless network. But as soon as I try to secure the network. I get the following message...

Hi,

Right-click on the network icon in the bottom right hand corner of your screen, Press Connect to a Network. You should see your wireless network in the list. Before you secured it, you could automatically connect to it because it was unsecured. Now you will have to double click on it and enter the username and password you secured your router with.
Once you have done that, there should be a box for you to tick that says 'Automatically connect to this network'. Tick that.
Done.

Hope this helps

No network

The Wireless Security of the router doesn't match your laptop's wireless settings. Make sure you configure the wireless security password correctly on the laptop. If you don't know your wireless password, try these steps:

-Connect your laptop hard wired to the router.
-Open Internet Explorer and on the Address Bard type http://192.168.1.1 press enter.
-It will prompt you for username and password. By default, there's no username and on the password type admin and hit OK. If admin didn't work, type your own password for the router.
-When you get to the Setup page, click on Wireless Tab, then click the sub-tab Wireless Security.
-Look for Security Mode. If Security Mode is WPA-Personal, the Passphrase is the wireless security key that you need to enter on the laptop's wireless settings. If the Security Mode is WEP, the WEP Key 1 is your wireless security key. Connect to the wireless network and type it in. That should solve your wireless connection problem.

Wireless Internet connectivity not working.

Does it recognize your wireless network?
I your wireless switched on on the laptop, most laptop have a separate small switch to swicth on/off the wireless option, indicated by a small antenna with some waves.
Does it recognise any wireless network at all?
Try connect to a hotspot or unsecured network to see if that works. Double check all settings for your own network in your router and your laptop. 1 typo in a security password can be enough to be unable to connect.

No internet connection on two desktops

Hi Tony, you think your laptop is connecting to your neighbor's wireless network. So try this.
1:Go to Control Panel, click on network and internet connections, double click NETWORK CONNECTIONS. Point your mouse to the WIRELESS NETWORK CONNECTIONS. It should show that you are connected(and it will show the name of the network that you are connected to). If you do not recognize the name of the network that you are connected to then you are connected to your neighbor's network.

IF YOU ARE CONNECTED TO linksys--unsecured wireless network, there is a chance that your wireless router is not functioning at the moment.

Try this first and i will be waiting if you have a follow up problem.

Linksys wireless card with ASUS WL520g Router - encryption error

you have changed the network key, but why update the username and password as it should always be the same which is the one supplied to you to connect to your service providers connection, assuming you mean the security key, go to your pc and search for your network again, as it will be trying to connect to a non existant unsecured router. When it searches and finds the networks in your area, choose yours click connect and the enter password window should pop up to be entered. Go to your browser and clear old temp files and cookies in tools, internet options, restart pc and you should assuming you have put the correct settings in be online.
