Hey, i am ahving problems with my router, i recently changed my internet supplier, i have a modem in my room for my pc and i bought a wirless cabled router for everyone in the house, my modem plugs into the router and the router goes into my pc as this is how its working at the momment, i fully registered my router at the login page, i need the wireless connection to connect to 2 laptops and 1 other desktop pc, for some reason cant seem to get any of the other pc's to connect to my router if someone has one of these routers and can give me a a-z start to finish on how to solve this problem it would be much appreciated.
1. Connect u r DSL Modem to Wireless Router through Modem RJ-45 cable.
2. Install Wireless LAN Card Driver in 2 Laptops and Desktop PC.
3. After that, Go to My network places (Right Click) - Properties - Wireless Lan (Right click) - Properties - Enter IP Configuration Of Your ISP (Internet Service Provider) Like :- IP Address, Subnet Mask, Default gateway & DNS Servers.
4. Now u r Internet is connected & running prperly.
Hello,
have you tried to follow the manual chapter 3, page 3-1 ?
If you lost your manual you can find one here:
http://kbserver.netgear.com/pdf/wgr614v6_ref_man_20Apr05.pdf
One of your computers can go online because its using a wired connection to the router, but the wireless clients cannot access the connection - is this right?
Then you only need to setup the wireless part in the router.

answer to solution 1 is, the laptops and the other pc is no more than 10meters away.

I am having trouble setting up my wireless network. I can connect to the internet when my D-link modem is directly connected through the Ethernet port, but whenever I try to set up an internet connection through the router, I cannot connect. It shows that I am connected in the bottom right hand corner of the screen, but whenever I try to dial in via my DSL provider, it won't connect. Please advise.
both the laptop and pc desktop cant connect to the wireless router?
