When i start the computer it just go to a black screen.. how do i fix this?
For any laptops, if it shows a blank screen, all persons including you can do some 'first aids'.
First Aid A:
1) Remove the battery and AC adapter.
2) Press and hold on the power button for one minute and then release.
3) Connect the AC adaptor and switch on the system.
If it doesn't solve the problem, try 'First Aid B'.
First Aid B:
1) Remove the battery and AC adapter.
2) Locate the RAM module. It is usually at the back side of the system under a removable lid. There are one or two screws for it. Remove the screw and take the lid. Then you can see the module.
3) Pull the arms of the holder of the RAM gently outward and take the RAM out.
3) Insert it back by holding it at an angle of 45 degree from the motherboard surface.
4) Connect the AC adapter.
5) Switch on the system.
If it doesn't solve the problem, try 'First Aid C'.
First Aid C:
1) Replace the RAM module with a known good one as expained in 'first Aid B'.
2) Swich on the system.
3) If it fails to vew the display, connect an external display.
4) Turn on the external display by pressing the Fn and F8/LCD/CRT keys.
If all these things are failed, then it is a motherboard problem or due to a currepeted BIOS. Contact a service personel.

Did you do anything to it before this started happening? Like: Install new software? add an external hard drive? without anymore information all i can say is that it is possible the computer thinks it is in presentation mode. Press the function button at the same time as the video mode button(usually doubles as one of the number or function keys at the top of the keyboard) It could also be a bad motherboard/video chip. It could also be a bad cmos/bios chip.
