The water is too hot coming out of the shower and if I turn the handle it does not cool enough. It is a Moen exactemp control.

You have the scald guard set to high. Take off the handle and the face plate. You will see a small plastic half moon looking part with teeth. Yours is probably set all the way one way which keeps the cold water side restricted and the hot side fully open. Carefully pull the half moon part out and rotate in about halfway and reinstall. That will give you equal cold and hot water flow. If that isn't right for your needs, you can play with the settings.

Delta 13022 - Hot water out of the shower is much cooloer than out of the sink faucet. How is the mix of hot & cold controlled?

The Delta shower has a rotational limit stop designed so that when another fixture is activated, such as a toilet or dishwaser, the water does not go to extreme hot or cold. The reason for this is that the Delta shower unit is not pressure balanced or does not contain an anti scald device. The pdf document below will show how to adjust the water tempature if you feel it is too cold. Please use caution as it is probably set the way it is to prevent scalding.

No cold water

Behind the handle there is a dial to adjust water temp cold and hot you can remove it and replace it a 1/4 turn til you can get both cold and hot. It is a anti scald it may have been put in wrong.

Make sure the cold water line is not blocked coming to valve and is open .

Installed a new oak brook collection tub and shower faucet and no water comes out.

You may have to disassymble the faucet to see if there is something that is stuck in there or that the assymbly internally is stuck in the closed position.

Hudson Thermostatic Problem

try this.
if you have anti scald device installed in the valve, take it out. the anti-scald device is to keep the hot water from pouring out in case the cold water pipe is not functioning. In general sense, it is a good idea, however, it also mixes too much of cold water, therefore you don't get eough hot water.

No water coming out of my Kohler Forte R10275-4-BN shower valve

This is a pressure balancing valve that needs both cold and hot water pressure to operated. It is an anti-scald safety operation.

Have a combi boiler and the hot water from my taps are running cold to luke warm. My British Gas engineer has told me it is nothing to do with the boiler but is caused by a faulty thermostat cartridge in...

Modern shower valves have an "anti scald device" in them to prevent scalding from to hot water.

They come preset at 120 degrees.

Sometimes they can start to malfunction and all you get is warm, not hot water, they can also be intermittent.

This will only effect the shower valve though, not the other faucets.
