If you do not print on a regular basis (at least once a week), your print head will get clogged. You can try going to "print preferences", find the tab named "maintenance", then check the "head cleaning" option. Just follow the instructions. You might have to do this several times in order to achieve a good quality print. Also, bear in mind that cleaning the print head uses a lot of ink.
Hope that helps!

Try cleaning the print head: http://files.support.epson.com/pdf/cx32__/cx32__pg.pdf
If that doesn't work, may need to replace the print head altogether. If it's been sitting on a shelf for a while, the ink can easily dry up and clog the jets.

Printer gets print command and goes through print action but no print on page. Ink cartridges indicate full.

Although "full", some ink in the path-way has dried out, and is blocking the flow of ink from the ink-tank through the ink-jets.

Try the "head-cleaning" procedure, or replace the ink-cartridges.

take a look at where the ink gets pressed onto the paper. because when to much ink is released it looks purple.

Printer won't print B&W even though black cartridge is full but 2 colours are empty.

Although you are only trying to print a B & W picture, the color print cartridge/cartridges must also contain ink in order for the printer to work. All print cartridges must contain ink for printing of any type to take place.
Load the color print cartridges and the B & W picture will print.
If you were trying to print a color picture and the B & W cartridge was empty, the printer also, would not print.
I hope this helps you out.
Good Luck

Want to print only in black

search through your manual for grayscale options... this is usually code word for black and white...

Ink cartridge light keeps blinking BEWARE SPAM NUMBER 1-800-532-4187

you need to print only in black if that is all the ink you have, and also you need to remove the color cartridge as it still registers in the printer as able to be used, although it is empty or near so. Did you remove the tape over the print head fron the new ink cartridge? Do a print head alignment, or use the toolbox icon to tell the printer that you just replaced the cartridge. Some HP models chip the ink cartridges so even a refill wont register as a full tank and the printer wont print. chip needs to be reset (difficult) or just replaced with a new cartridge.

The yellow ink doesn't print although the ink shows full

Hi there! are you using original canon ink cartridges? if so, your cartridge might have defects, try to replace your cartridge with a new one. If you're using compatible ink cartridges try to replace it with an original canon ink cartridge. Have a good day!
