How do I Turn off my waist ink absorber error message?

You can't. You will need to replace the waste ink tank when it becomes full before it will allow you to print anymore. I had to do that with my Canon at one time too.

Getting a false error message that the ink/toner is empty and wastebin is full when i print to my phaser 8860 from a macbook on 10.6 (networked printer)

The waste bin full error can occur if the waste bin was not removed from the machine for over 10 seconds when it was emptied. Please remove the waste bin and wait for a full 10 to 20 seconds before replacing the Waste bin.

If the message still displays turn off the machine and leave it off for 1 minute then turn the machine back on.

Then run software update to make sure you have the latest OS updates.

Then delete the printer and re-add the printer.

WASTE INK ABSORBA FULL

Inkjet printers have a fibrous pad inside them that collects the waste ink from cleaning the print head. Over time, this pad fills up with ink and can no longer hold any more. When this occurs, the printer indicates a "waste ink tank full" error.

Replacing the waste ink absorption pads is something an authorized canon service facility can take care of for you. Once they are replaced, it'll be functional again.

My Canon PIXMA iP4000 stopped working with the following messages; (1) error no. 5200 a problem has occured with the printer mechanism (2) cannot print properly because of print head overheating (3)...

first of all the error message is correct when it said that the print head is overheating, this may be cause or triggered by a full waste ink.

will be able to see the steps on how to do it when upi download the Service Manual for your printer.

I get an error message on Canon i960 printer that tells me the waste ink tank full. How can I empty this myself?

Read it all here.
Scroll about half the page, to:
WASTE TANK ALMOST FULL or FULL ERROR MESSAGE PROBLEMThere is explained how to get rid of the error message very easy, and how to clean the waste ink pad manually. The latter seems not to be necessary, though.
