TE-8500F

the screen is black and says ''exceptional error !''
error no. 180

i have tried the journal feed + turn on/off but it won't budge.

i have also encountered the same problem as everyone else where the machine just keeps running by itself. the journal feed + turn on/off helped for that, but not for this particular problem.

please help.

Wow. I haven't had that one before, and I thought I'd seen them all. Has this machine been unplugged for a while, or is it in use every day?

How do I switch the journal feed off 4500 f

If you mean turn the journal printing off, you can't. It doesn't have a journal memory because it is designed to print everything on the journal roll. That is why you buy a two station printer model. It stops staff from covering transactions and the tax office will want to see your journal rolls if they audit you.

Te-8500f

It uses a special Vanadium Pentoxide Lithium battery. It is available from Casio register dealers. If you are changing it yourself, make sure you have the power TURNED ON in reg mode while changing it. It has to have power to keep the memory while the battery is being changed or you lose the program.

How can i reset my casio te 2000to factory settings as it wont let me sign in, i have the program cd but can do nothing, i bought this from a bankruptcy auction so maybe it is broken? pete

Hi. You don't want to reset it unless you have to, as this will mean a lot of extra work for you. Better to find out why it won't let you program it.

First of all, do this:

Turn the power off at the wall
Turn the key to PROGRAM
Now keep your finger on the RECEIPT FEED button while you turn the power back on, and keep holding it down for 5 seconds.
Let go, and you should see "FFFFFFFFF" on the display
Press SUBTOTAL
Wait for print out.

On the print out, near the bottom, you should see "FC" on the left, and then a number on the right.
Tell me what that number is, and I can help you further.

I have just used jrn feed 10000 reset sequence bt I only have key 4 and 6 for my te-8500f and when I try and use these keys to sign on it says "wrong operator" can I get around or reverse this?

If you have performed a 10000 reset then you have lost everything from the machine. The operators will need to be signed on using the 5 black buttons at the top of the keyboard marked CLK1, CLK2 etc.
you will now need to re-program the memory allocation and machine settings which are in this manual: http://the-checkout-tech.com/manuals/cashregisters/Casio_TE-7000S_and_TE-8000F_and_TE-8500F_programming_manual.html

How do you setup the casio te-8500f to count stock ?

This can be quite involved if you want to use a stock inventory system. Some models require a complete re-programming so that extra memory can be opened for stock files. Normally your dealer would set this up before you receive the machine from new. It would be best to get a dealer to set up the stock areas and memory allocation.
The machine will show you the amount of everything sold if you do a PLU report at the end of the day. This may be enough for what you need so give it a try.

I got te-8500f, while i open it, the display shows: cpu Exceptional Error! Error no. 100 error point c00d8f6 access adrs 1f7 any help? Thanks in advance.

This indicates the actual processor in the machine has failed. Unfortunately the processor is the most important part of the whole register. If it is in fact a Casio register it can be repaired, but you will need to contact them. They are open right now actually, give them a call at 1-800-706-2534

Thanks

Hi, I seem to be having many problems with my cash registers. One of my TE4500-F registers is showing INIT LLLLLLLLLL when I turn it on. I have tried the reset methods using the Receipt and Journal Feed...

Ok. So if you have turned power off at wall, turned to program, held RECEIPT FEED and powered on, and you cannot get the Ls to change to Fs, then you most likely have a worn out mode lock. It is common as the 4000s get older. they are cheap to replace. It is possible that you have keyboard failure, but if you can get the paper to move with the receipt feed key then I'd say it is still mode lock.
