When i record one track through sonar 6 the next time i try to record there is it has a level of noise already registering before i record witch intrupts my recordind and makes distortion with the recording. Then if i shut down sonar and turn off fast track pro it works again then repeats same problem. What do I need to do?

I guess your output is leaking and you are recording it again to the track.
Try recording with lower output volume. :)

Hi,
I guess if your still looking for an answer your probably desperate. Never the less, if someone else is looking for an answer you need to select FT Pro in the preferances. Basically, you have to tell the software what to record and when. Pretty easy really.

What about an LE version of Cubase or Sonar (little hard to learn if your just want to record something light and not edit).

Is it bus powered? If it is only plugged into the USB port and not also into the AC outlet, it may be because your USB port does not supply enough voltage or enough current. USB is spec'd at 5V, 500mA, but many fall short. I have the same problem with a Tascam US-122. I haven't tested yet, because it doesnt have an external power port. I would need to splice 5V power into the USB cable.
