Hi how do i remove rear wheel bearing on vy

Hi. This isn't a quick repair. Procedure is to raise wheel off ground, place jack stand in place (for safety), remove brakes to expose axle, remove (4) axle retaining bolts and slide hammer to remove axle. A race removal tool will be needed to remove the old race from the axle shaft. You will buy a new axle seal, bearing and race. NOTE: Press the old bearing off first. There are two sizes plus if the retaining plate or retaining ring get damaged. you won't be surprised. A parts store or hydraulic should be your "Go To Place" for pressing off the old bearing and pressing on, the Retaining plate, new seal and bearing and retaining ring. Clean the axle shaft and install the new race and put it back together. If you need anything else please write back. Details are always good. Don't worry about saying too much. Good Luck.

HOW TO REPACE REAR WHEEL BEARINGS

To replace the bearings, you need to first remove the axles by removing the diff cover, taking out the small bolt or drift pin that holds the spider gear shaft in place, removing the shaft and pushing in on the axle to remove the "c" retainer on the axle end.
You can remove the bearing by prying it out using the end of the axle or by using a puller made to do that. Install is the reverse of removal. Don't forget to re-fill diff before driving!

Replacing a rear wheel bearing 1996 gmc sonoma 5 speed what all is involved does the axle have to come out or can you just take wheel and brakes drum off etc.

To remove the rear axle to replace a bearing you have to remove the rear differential cover and remove the small retaining bolt holds the spider gear shaft in place and then slide this shaft out far enough to remove the "C" shaped axle shaft retaining clip. Once this clip is off then the axle can be slid out and the bearing & seal replaced. Make sure that none of the spider gears or thrust washers behind them get out of place and you should use a new retaining bolt when reassembling the differential components as they come [or should come this way] with thread locker to prevent them from coming loose.

2006 toyota corolla - rotors

The large bolt that you see is the nut that holds the axle shaft to the hub. You do not need to remove it to remove the rotors. You just need to remove the caliper & the caliper bracket. Normally, the rotors come off of the hubs easily, but sometimes, they rust onto the hub. My techs beat and beat and beat until they come off. With large hammers. Note that after they are beaten off, the rotors are no longer viable for re-use.
