Picture Zoomed in too much, no zoom button

The picture on my TV is zoomed in loads, and so appears too big (top and bottom cut off!)
Its a logik LCXW19LN1 No matter how I adjust settings, nothing happens. Also the screen flicks loads, like its trying to auto adjust. There is no zoom button on the remote, nor in the settings. In the settings there is only contrast, brightness etc, no kind of size adjust.

When i press the wide button, the problem remains.

I had the same problem after plugging my pc into the pc-in socket. The problem happened with the scart connections after.
I solved it by turning the tv off/on from the wall plug socket.

I can't get the zoom to decrease on my tv. is it a problem with the tv, or the cable box?

This is the TV. Look for an aspect ratio or picture size or other wording button on the TV's remote control and READ your TV owner's manual. John

It appears that the image on the screen is zoomed in, but I can't figure out how to "undo" that. Thank you!

If the image on screen is zoomed both in vertical and horizontal direction, your TVs power regulator inside it is faulty. [Overvoltage]. If it is zoomed in vertical direction only, that is only the height of the picture is zoomed, you can adjust it with the remote control button directly on going through menu and get in to the function menu. Normally all TV remote has a special button marked as "Zoom" which on pressing it once the picture get zoomed, again another press the picture gets wide and again an another press picture will come to normal mode. You should select normal mode to retify the problem.

My TV picture cuts off on the top and bottom

Check what format you are in. 4:3 is like a regular tv. Sides will be cut off in this format on a widescreen tv. 16:9 zoomed will cut of top & bottom slightly. You want just regular 16:9. No zoom.

Digital LIfestyles 32

On your remote control you should see a zoom or picture size button. Try changing this back to 16:9. I expect that your screen got zoomed either on purpose or by accident by someone. Some people zoom in the picture to eliminate the aspect ratio areas at the top and bottom and/or sides.

This should be your problem, just un-zoom the picture

Cant see full picture w/ Vizio 32in HDTV

You would look for a format button on your remote.
Dish Network: bottom left the asterisk "*" button
DirecTV: top left, second from the top labelled "format"
Cable remote: look for format, zoom, or aspect ratio

Pressing this button should scroll you through the options.

IMAGE IS ZOOMED ON SCREEN

use the format button, might be called screen size. You are looking at a format that the screen cannot show completely, I can cut the top and bottom off or make it widescreen and lose the edges on my TV
