HOW DO i GET THE FRONT PANEL LOOSE AT THE BOTTOM

You have to tip the unit backwards. Put a a piece of wood under it and remove the screws on the bottom of the unit. There should be one on each side.

Amana electric dryer. NED7200TW t5 error. I pulled out the dryer, unplugged it (4prong thank you) made sure the flexible duct was clear and not kinked, checked the outside vent to make sure it was clear...

throw it out,older , less fancy dryers with fewer features last a lot longer,had one for 16 yrs,motor,belt ,rotor and drum wheels can be fixed by replacement,take hair dryer to key pad

NED7200tw t5 error Code

Check to see if your thermistor is bad by measure the resistance. It should be 10K Ohms at room temperature.
If it's bad, replace it BUT you have to CLEAR to error code.
1. Enter to Service Mode by press CHIME and TEMPERATURE keys for 3 seconds or until 3 beeps are heard.
2. Access Diagnostic Codes by pressing WRINKLE PREVENT. A d will be displayed. Rotate the CYCLE SELECTOR KNOB in either direction to read it.
3. Press SENSOR DRY and TIME keys for 3 seconds to clear it.
4. Power OFF to exit Service Mode
5. Power ON

Hello,

To open that dryer ya need to first remove the top by removing the screws in the rear of it,then remove the control panel...behind the control panel are screws that hold the front panel to the cabinet.

this tip i wrote will help ya to determine why its not heating...after disconnecting the front panel it can be letf connected to run the dryer to see whats happening as far as the igniter not coming on or whatnot

Dryer will not start get an error code that looks like a t5.

It is actually error code "tS" which stands for thermistor shorted. The control interprets it as an extremely low resistance which is a result of a the dryer overheating. Locate the thermistor on the blower housing and replace it. Click on the link below and refer to the parts diagram then look for item number 27(thermistor).

Amana NED 7200tw will tumble and seems to work fine, except it will not heat up. I tried resetting the breaker, no go. How do I get to the heating element/fuses/etc. to check them out. It is stacked on top...

Please let me know if this works its a lengthy repair but cheaper then buying new.

What does error code 5D mean for Amana NFw 7200tw? I have had more problems with this machine.

Look under the top or inside the lower service panel and you will find a tech sheet that will explain the code and how to do testing and diagnosis.

Dryer will not dry - drum will not turn

Just happened to mine also. The problem was that the Idler Pulley came loose from the drive belt. There is a switch on the idler pulley so that if there is no tension on it, the motor will not start and you will have the symptoms you describe. To reattach the Idler Pulley, remove the back plate surrounding the dryer exhaust. This will give you access to the Pulley. If the belt broke (unlikely with a new dryer such as yours), the fix is more involved. This dryer is the same as the Maytag MDE6700 - you can do a search for a service manual for that model and you can see the details. Hope this helps.

That is actually a Ts error.

Thermistor Short Sensed

The Thermistor resistance is very low.
Check for:
- Clogged lint screen.
- Restricted vent system.
- Check Thermistor resistance.

I did not replace thermostat but reset it runs for a few minutes and ts comes back up
