If you take a tape measure and step from the wall at exactly 10 feet, you will be able to turn the calibration knob to the same exact distance. All other distances from that point on will be precise. Thank you, Dana

Echo ecr2 reading wrong distance and speed. have lost manual

It must be re-calibrated to match the outter circumference of the tire. Sit on the bike and measure how far the wheel rolls on one revolution, exactly. Multiply the inches of the circumference by 2.54. This converts the inches into mm and that is the number you use to calibrate the cyclo-computor's basic need. You can probably find the user's manual on the web. Save and keep ALL your instructions in a shoe box or folder. OK?

Does not measure distance

Put in new batteries, clean lens, and calibrate. If this does not work, type " Leica Disto A6 Laser Distance Meter user manual " into computer search engine. It will bring up sites for manual.

How to use stud finder

While holding the stud finder on a spot on the wall where you assume there is no stud... press the button and hold and stay still for 10 or 15 seconds to calibrate. Then while still pressing the button start sliding sideways until the lights indicate the thickest point. You can use a pencil to mark the beginning and end. The center of that is the center of the stud. Measure 3/4 of an inch left and right of it to know it's sides.

I got a Vetta rt55 dont know the tire setting. My tire is 27x1 1/4. Thanks

measure the outer diameter of the tyre.put a mark on the side of the tyre and put to the floor.this will be a starting point to measure the tyre.get a tape measure.now roll the wheel foward and do one full rotation until the mark comes back to the floor.now measure that distance between from where mark started and finished. eg if you measured 2 metres then enter 200cm or 2000mm.most speedos usually except measuments in mm though.hope this helps
