I just bought a Casio SL-1100TV calculator - just a basic calculator. It has a tax rate feature (two tax buttons next to the % button). The problem is the rate the ''%'' key is set at give's incorrect ''%'' calculations. For example, if I type in 100 - 20% it calculates ''400''. I've followed the manual in adjusting the default ''tax rate'' for the percentage button to ''0'' but it's still not calculating correctly. Any ideas?
SOURCE: my calculator will not let me add or subtract percentages.
It would appear most Casio’s have a similar problem I believe this could be a fault in their programming and am awaiting reply from Casio and some of its distribution outlets.

Press the [ac] button, then press and hold the [tax+] button for a second or two. Then enter the tax rate you want as a percentage. You would enter 8.25% sales tax as 8.25 for instance. Then press the [%] key to set the rate. Notice that printed above the [tax+] button is "tax rate" and above the [%] key is "rate set" as a reminder of which key to press.
