on this type of tv each gun is controled by hor.and ver. chip together. it is on the board that controls the convergence of the tv. some manufactors have recalls on problems like this. i dont know if this one does but it may. you can check with mitsub. i do know that this part is about 250.00

If the 1/2 inch line is in the middle but going up and down, then the horizontal yoke circuit has stopped working.
