For that purpose you have to insert an AGP card into AGP slot of grade 8X then you can see full resolution because the inbuilt display card does not support to high resolution

Search Viewsonic.com. The Windows generic driver usually works. If you have a special video driver for your Samsung, it may be interfering. Multiple monitors have to be set up through your display driver. The viewsonic should be available through the device manager.
In Windows 7 there are serveral ways to get to your display settings.I have detailed them below in options so that you can access them as needed.
Option 1
Right click on your desktop and select "Screen Resolution"
Option 2
1. Right click on your desktop and select "Personalize"
2. Next click on "Display"
3. Click on "Adjust resolution"
Option 3
1. Click the Start button and click Control Panel
2. Next click on "Display"
3. Click on "Adjust resolution" Once you are in the Screen Resolution you can set the resolution you want.
Note the resolution that is set now is a wide screen resolution. If you have a standard monitor the equivalent resolution would be 1280 x 1024.
After you have made the needed changes click on Apply then OK to save your changes.
Note if you are still have trouble with your monitor displaying right you may need to install the monitor drives.Windows is not going to have the actual drivers for all monitors. So in picture below you will see where is shows "Generic PnP Monitor" this means that the computer is using a generic driver. You can access this screen by clicking on "Advance Setting".
If you need to install the monitor drivers the link below will take you through the steps of installing the monitor drivers.
Hi, I see you are having issues with you LG monitor. What type of video card do you have on your computer? if I may ask. And also did the LG Monitor come with a disc to install the Monitor. The VGA means it is using VGA a a mode or type of cable connection for the Video, what cable are you using? are you using an HDMI connection for the Monitor/LCD or is it the Blue Cable on both ends if it is the Blue Cable then that is using VGA so it will say on VGA meaning it detects the video connection from that cable. Are you asking because this shows every time you turn the LCD monitor ON , is that correct, if that is the reason it is normal. The question I see is incomplete? and when you? what happens?windows detected my monitor as generic non pnp monitor and when i installed the inf file for lg monitor and updated and rebound to generic non pnp monitorit says device on vga and when i
My Iiyama Vision Master Pro 450 works with Windows 7 when connected with a VGA video cable that has 5 BNC RGB connectors that attach to the back of the Iiyama monitor. No driver install was needed; Windows 7 shows my Iiyama monitor as a "Generic Non-PnP Monitor" with 1024x768 resolution.
BenQ 19" monitor GENERIC pnP lcd
displays upper part (a 12 cm wide band) lighter than the down part which is normal
the cursor when in the lighter part becomes ghosty and very white
Well with all generic monitors, even after working fine for so long, one day you will wake up plug them in and there it goes no cable connected...
IF that is the case, i usually recommend the drivers first..
Uninstalling the drivers...
Go to manufacturers of the laptop website, more than likely the drivers can be outdated, the actual port is not working and or the monitor is bad, those are the three things that can really happen in this case...
Go to the laptop manufacturers website.
Under support and downloads section,
update the driver for the display adapter, and that will resolve any issue with the drivers usually if it is a port issue it can just be outdated drivers as well, so once updated and restarted try connecting back the monitor and see what happens...
if it used to work and stopped test the monitor on another system see if it works if it does then and you already updated your drivers for display on laptop then call the laptop people and see what is happening... but the drivers should be your resolution...
Good luck hope this works for you...
check your resolution settings and change to 800><600 and try again. If it does not work at 1024><768 try loading monitor driver In display properties it should show BenQ FP731 instead of plug and play monitor.
