Where is a print size option on HP Office Jet Printer 3833

Hello, Jane -

See the User Guide for the HP OfficeJet 3833, page 21, in the Print from Your Computer section, directions to print a document.

If you do not have the User Guide, this is the link to it (PDF document - you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader software - free):

Best wishes.

I have a HP LasterJet P2015. I am trying to print multiple page PDF file documents and after one page has printed, the triangle and "!" light flashes and a print out says insufficient memory. How do I...

Open Printer options and reduce the print quality. It is probably 1200dpi. Make it 600 and try the print again.
You may also add more printer memory to print complex documents on highest resolution possible.

My printer won't print ADOBE files, but prints all word documents

I believe you are misunderstanding what you're "telling" the computer to do. You are telling the computer (I assume in Microsoft Word, but perhaps elsewhere) to generate an electronic document in PDF format. (I believe PDF stands for Portable Document Format)
It uses a printing metaphor because like a paper copy, the PDF file is designed for people to read, not edit the document you have created. Also, some PDF-making software methods involve pretending to be a printer, which allows the user to make a PDF file in any program that would normally only output your work to a printer.
Most people, when wanting to print a PDF document onto paper, open it with Adobe's Acrobat Reader (which is free software) and print the document from there. For sharing a document that you want no changes to, this is a superior option to sending people an MS Word .doc (or .docx) file, which does not have its information "locked" onto virtual pages in the file.

I hope this helped!

I want to be able to print my any file to a pdf file to email it.

You first must have a pdf writer, but once printed, the looks will be the same.

If you are running Windows 2007, you have the option of saving the document as a pdf, then you could print it from there once you open it.

I have recently installed my new HP Officejet J4580 All-in-One. I seem to be able to print off the internet but cannot print a filed document. Everytime I try to print I am prompted to create a new file. I...

Make sure that the HP Officejet J4580 printer is selected in the printers drop down list. Sometimes if you choose a PDF printer for example it will ask you to create a new file.

Sometimes there is an option in the Printer Preferences that says "Print to file". Make sure that it is unchecked.

HP Printer will not print!

Hi,

It is really my first time to encounter that particular message that the "directory needed is unavailable". Here are the things that i want you to check.

1. Make sure that you logon to your computer using the Administrator previlege. That way, it will allow you to install and uninstall programs or softwares without any warnings.
2. Try to open the controlpanel>>> go the Printers and faxes>>> then make sure that the HP Deskjet F300 series has a check mark and it says READY.
3. If it doesnt say ready, right click the printer icon and it will give you option "USE PRINTER ONLINE". click on that.
4. Now, try printing a document.

Note: if the issue still not resolve, please give me further informations about the operating system, when you tried to print does it stays on the printing queue?

Thank you so much

Printing PDF files

I had this problem after I had fixed a problem printing from Quicken. I was able to print from Quicken by changing the print option in Windows -- mine was set to "Spool documents" and I changed it to "Print directly from printer" -- the advice I was given was to change it from whatever it was set at to the other option. For printing a PDF file, I changed it back to "Spool documents" and it allowed me to print the PDF file. Try this and see if it works for you -- click the Windows Start button and select Settings, then Printers and Faxes. Right click on the selected printer and select Properties. In the properties window look for a setting to print directly to printer or spool documents -- mine was under the Advanced option. Try the option not currently selected -- in my case, I changed it back to Spool documents with Begin printing immediately -- and then try to print a PDF file. It looks like I will have to toggle back and forth when I am printing from Quicken and when I am printing a PDF file. Hope this works for you.

Pale print on PDF files

It sounds like a driver problem. Try replacing the driver for this printer on the printers folder, using the HP LaserJet Series II. With this driver, try again the PDF file and see if it prints correctly.
