message is "Scanner failure. Turn power off then on again." Turning off then on again does not solve the problem
Scanner failure and I have re-installed many times. This week I cannot print or copy.
scanner failure message ,unable to receive or send faxes. I unpluges the power source and repluged it again. It seems to work, however the problem keeps on reaccuring!
How do you get the scanner assembly open to clean mirrors?
I also get the "Scanner Failure" message with instructions to turn off and then turn on again. It happens whether the computer is on or off, beginning shortlyafter turning on the computer. Generally, after repeating the procedure, the problem will recur intermittently, for a total of three times, and then stops happening for the rest of the day. Other functions seem to be working okay, although veerrrrry slooow to warm up before first copy. I so rarely use the fax component that I really don't know whether it is working or not; no trouble light comes on as it does with the scanner failure.
