DLG2532W gas dryer not drying clothes reset button?

what is the problem with the dryer?there is no reset button,if it doesn't start you could have a broken belt,or one of the thermostats is blown,the only way you could try to reset it is by unplugging it for a few minutes and then plug it back in,this will reset the computer board,or if you have no heat there is a resettable t-stat part 6931EL3003C if that's what you mean,and your dryer isn't electric it's gas,if you look at the model number DLG the G is for a gas dryer,go here hope this helps you out.

Safety First, Unplug Dryer. There are two thermostats in the dryer. They are on the exhaust tube that houses the burner element and the ignitor. One is on the top half of the exhaust tube near the dryer wall and the other is on the bottom half of the exhaust tube toward the center of the dryer. The one on the bottom half of the exhaust tube in the one with the reset button.pull off right access port cover, look in and left for thermostat hanging down off of exhaust tube. Press button between the two wires going to thermostat. It is a 3 minute operation if you can get to the right side access port. hope this helped Tim

The M220 (part #6931EL3003C) is a manual resettable thermo. (Gas models only) (reset by pushing in pin between electrical contacts) If it is tripped out, your vent is in-adequate. There are two themostats located on the back side of the blower housing (ref #'s K550 and K560, part #'s 6323EL2001B and 6931EL3002A respectively) but first, have you tried cleaning off the moisture sensor bars inside the drum, near the lint filter? Try to use timed dry. If that works, your problem is the moisture sensor bars need cleaning, due to build of of fabric softener on them, which makes the dryer think that the clothes are dry, so it will not heat.

If you are having problems with your gas dryer not heatingthe most common problem is that the ignitor goes bad. Even though it glowssometimes it is still not working properly. if you dryer is gas check out this gas no heat tip.... Yes the ignitor can be replaced part# 5318EL3001A

If you have to reset the thermal fuse your vent is clogged so be sure to clean the vent all the way to the outside.

I had same issue and cleaned out all lint from the entire cavity of the dryer. Fixed the problem.

Dryer doesn't get hot. Replaced all the sensors and still it doesn't get hot. Doesn't get hot in any mode. All vents are clear. I'm thinking that maybe there may not gas getting ignited, but I know nothing about gas stuff and am not sure if thats the problem. Any ideas of what I should be looking at next?

if the cloths are warm and wet the problem is not with the dryer but in the venting. check the air flow at the end of the line (where the exhaust leaves the building) if the air baffels are not fully opening when the drier is on there is probably an issue with the venting. remember to tape up the venting joints after inspecting it because it is also the exhaust for the gas. hope this helps.

I had similar problem with my LG DLG2532W gas dryer:
1) Power on machine:
- Check Filter light comes on (LG says this is OK at start)
- Time lights have all dashes
- All Program cycle lights on (Air Dry up to cotton towels)
- This is all normal
2) Select program cycle (cotton towels for example)
- Check Filter light now goes off
- Time shows 58 minutes
- Dry Level, Temp Control, etc are set automatically
- This is all normal
3) Push start (this is where the trouble begins)
- The "drying cycle" light starts blinking (good)
- The dryer starts turning (this looks good...but)
- The ignitor (heating coil that ignites the gas) never heats
- The gas never comes on (because ignitor not on)
- No heat ever is produced.

Net result is dryer looks normal and runs, but there is no heat.
There is no error code...nothing to tell you anything is wrong.
Your only recourse is to call a technician because the manuals do not explain anything in any detail.

Thank goodness for the internet. I just needed the one clue that there was a reset button on the thermostat. That fixed my problem. Here is some more detail in case someone else is having this problem:

There are apparently two thermostats in the dryer. They are on the exhast tube that houses the burner element and the ignitor. One is on the top half of the exhaust tube near the dryer wall and the other is on the bottom half of the exhaust tube toward the center of the dryer. The one on the bottom half of the exhaust tube in the one with the reset button. Before pushing the reset button PULL THE PLUG ON THE DRYER OR TURN OFF CURCUIT BREAKER. The reset switch is between two wire leads that go to the thermostat and you will probably shock yourself if you try to push the button with the power on. If you open up the right side access cover on the dryer, then you can see the exhast tube. It is about 5 inches in diameter and (looking thru the right side access port), it will be sloping up from left to right as it runs from the front of the dryer to the back. You can see another exhaust tube further away from the port and lower down, but the one you are looking for is closest to you and higher up. If you look back toward the front of the machine (left), you can see two wires hanging down from the opposite side of the exhaust tube. The wires run to the thermostat which you can also see on a bracket standing off the exhaust tube. In between the two wire leads that run to the thermostat is the reset button.

Bottom line....pull off right access port cover, look in and left for thermostat hanging down off of exhaust tube. Press button between the two wires going to thermostat. It is a 3 minuite operation if you can get to the right side access port.

If you cannot get to the right side access port, you can pull off the fronf of the dryer and get to it that way, but it is much harder. You start by popping the dryer top by pushing in a putty knife between the top cover and front cover about two inches away from the top left and right edges of the machine. This is tricky and takes some fidling. I just pryed mine open the first time, but now I see how it is supposed to be done. After popping the top, you can take off the front of the machine. There are two screws on the top and then two more on the bottn half of the door. You have to open the door to get these two screws out. There are some wires going to sensors and switches that have to be disconnected.

It is much easier to access the thermostat thru the right side access port.
