HITACHI WASHER SF 6500PX, COLD WATER VALVE NOT WORKING SO SWAPPED WITH HOT WATER VALVE(WHICH WAS WORKING ON HOT WATER). IT WONT WORK ON COLD WATER INLET. WHEN I TURN MACHINE ON AND SET IT GOING, IT AGITATES AND DOESNT LET ANY WATER IN. I SWAPPED THEM BACK TO THE ORIGINAL WAY & IT WORKS ON THE HOT WATER INLET. STRANGE ?THE PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE UNDER THE CONTROL PANEL?

Not sure what ur saying have u tried changing the hot cold hoses and see what happens? u may have a bad water inlet valve or a bad water temperature switch? first make sure ur getting hot from the house outlet, u can check with a multi meter for continuity to see if either is out
If this is a spelling error and your not getting HOT water, I suggest you check the wiring or wire plug connection to the 'water inlet valve' assembly. 1st-unplug the AC power. 2nd-turn off both water valves.3rd-prepare for spilled water on the floor.4th-carefully use a wide(app 1 to 2 inch)flat chisel(BIG flat blade screw driver)and pry the top assembly up.5th-it should open like a large tool box. Look down inside the back to see where the valve assembly is mounted. Now option #2 is turn the machine on its side to see if you can reach the valve assembly from the bottom with out having to open the top. Good luck on the job.
Either the cold water valve selenoid is not working or the control panal is bad. try swapping the hot and cold hoses and then call for hot water, if it fill with cold then the cold water valve is probably bad.
Please try to swap both the connections, hot to cold and cold to hot, swapping will hopefully work. If swapping wont work then the water inlet valve also known as inlet hose assembly is bad and needs replacement. Please check the water level switch as well although I believe it is the water inlet valve causing this problem.
Swap the water hoses connected to the water inlet valve and see if you then get cold water or hot water. If you just get cold and no hot then the valve is bad. If you still get just hot then the selector switch is bad.
Mixing valve should lock out the hot water when on the cold water setting. Either your hoses are crossed, or the mixing valve is flipped. To see if one of these is true, try it on a hot water setting to see if cold water comes in, or try just swapping the water hoses.
turn off water
disconnect fill hose from tap
examine screen inside hose end for 'muck' blockage
clean screen
reconnect hose
test washer
if no fill
replace water solenoid valve
note: cold water valve fails first, it gets most use,
if only using cold water, you can simply swap the hot and cold hoses at the tap, and swap the hot and cold electrical connectors on the solenoid valves, the hot solenoid is no the cold one and the washer can be used, cold only, for about as long as it has operated thus far..
the problem sounds like an elecronic faullt try swapping the hoses over and also check that the resistance readings on the valves are the same.some times if they are diffrent it can damage the pcb.hope this helps
