Locked in boot loader - won't reset

To reset laptop password, you can try the following steps,

Step1.Download Smartkey WindowsPassword Recovery from recoverlostpassword.com anddecompress it on that PC. There is a .ISO file. what you mean with Locked up ?
the Hard Disk Locked by a Password or BIOS is Protected by Password ?
but to fix thats all problem,try to use HirensBootCd.
is a Self Boot,so no need OS to Booting From HirensBootCd.
in First Boot from HirensBootCD there is an Option to Unlock Hard Disk Password,and Unlock Bios Password.

Hi there. It won't be a bios problem if it allows you to selet the usb to boot from. Sometimes when you try to boot ubuntu off of a usb it gives you a black screen for as long as 2+ minutes. usb drives can be slow but if it still will not boot then it is likely a problem with the boot loader on the usb stick. I would try installing ubuntu to the usb again to see if it works. If it still won't work then there is more than one way to install ubuntu to a usb. Leave a comnent here if you still can't get it to work and i can give you some more instructions of how to make it work. It shouldn't be a problem with your computer though.

Here is the step-by-step instruction to reset Linksys WRT120N Router

• First af all you have to make sure the power is "On" . Power the router up while pressing the reset button located at the back of the router using pencil or paperclip
• After around 30 seconds you will be prompted with the boot loader. Connect the boot loader using the standard IP address if you have not changed it (http://192.168.1.1)
• Upgrade the firmware to the latest one from Cisco site
• Power cycle the router and allow it to come up.
• When it is fully up, press and hold the reset button for 5 secondsThe LED light will blink indicating that you're done holding the reset bottom. If the Power LED won't blink try to press and hold the Reset Button for I minute and then power cycle the router for another 1 minute.

Resetting the MC75

There are two reset functions, warm boot and cold boot. A warm boot restarts the MC75 by closing all running

if your pc starts ok with no cd in than do it like that if you see this error all the time it means your hard drive is shot, or erased, or partially erased and needs to be setup again or replaced. got nothing to do with acronis if it does this all the time even with no cd in drive.

Glad i could be of some assistance, if it happens again try using an external keyboard or do the F8 thing and select "last Known Good Configuration"

you said you tryed soft and hard resets..

Check the bootloader if it has a diagnostic function, my HTC model has many self tests build in the bootloader, so give it a try on yours.
