New battery in eMachine M6811 won't fully charge.

Just installed a new battery in my eMachine M6811. Left it plugged in overnight to get a full charge. Woke up to a flashing yellow power indicator. Unplugged charger and started up. Battery power indicator says only 52%. How can I get this fully charged? Should I replace the AC charger?

SOURCE: Emachine Turns Off

This is the best way to tell. If your system is shutting down on you by behaving like your shutting it down thru windows then it could be a spyware, virus trojan issue going on. If thats the case then run your virus program and see what it finds and remove it. If your laptop is shutting down on you where everything turns off right away with no lights, kind of like a power outage then go ahead and remove the battery and only use the ac adapter and see if that solves the problem. If it does solve the problem then you know its your battery that is the culprit. If your only using the ac adapter and the machine shuts off on you like a power outage with no lights then you know its a problem with the motherboard. With just the ac adapter plugged in, wiggle the cord near where it plugs into the laptop and if it shuts off on you like a power outage then you know its a loose DC Jack and it needs to be resoldered back into place. Hope all this helps.

SOURCE: My emachines m6811 screen shows a poor quality

Sounds like the pc is set to a low pixel setting, try going to properties and adjust display settings.
ie. Right click on desktop image, click on Properties. WIndow will pop up, click on SETTINGS tab and adjust Screen Resolutions and/or Color Quality. That should make the change. Sometimes programs installed changes those settings. Good Luck!

98 honda crv wil start if jump started and then later won't start

Your battery is not fully charged and may not be accepting a full charge. Remove your battery and put it on a charger overnight. Take the battery to a parts store and have them hook it up. They will then be able to tell if it is taking a full charge or not. If this is a new battery it will take a full charge but it is still getting drained by something such as a radio not shutting off automatically, if you have that option.

Low hour, RASCAL 600 has been in clean safe storage with new batteries won't charge, no amp meter reading, no fuel gauge reading, yet charger itself has red and green light showing. If and when the...

The green light on your charger indicates a full charge but you know thats not right since you didn't charge the batteries when they were in storage they have dropped so low the charger cannot detect them and provide a charge. The batteries will need to be replaced with new ones. Charge before use and charge for at least 20 days to get them operating at 100% now you will have to use it for those 20 days to get the batteries used to charging charge every night when you go to bed and unplug when you get up in the morning. If you do have to leave the chair for a week or so put up fully charged and charge once a week overnight. If you put the chair in storage again disconnect the batteries from the chair and store with a full charge. Hope this helps you

The phone is dead but the machine still answer calls

Make sure the battery is inserted correctly in the cordless handset and that it is left on the charging cradle to fully charge overnight.

If the battery still does not power the phone even after charging, then the battery may be permanently depleted. Try buying a new battery for the unit. Be sure to fully charge the new battery as well before using.

Good luck.

New battery will not fully charge

Hi, I have three possible answers!

A.
You're computer may not be capable of charging the full 12 cells. (Its only supposed to have 6). So you will only be able to use half the cells. In this case there is nothing you can do apart from just enjoy the 6 recognised cells.

B.
You computer has not fully recognised the 12 cells so you may need to install drivers from the HP website. Or alternately if you know how to and or have the original windows install disks. Then you can re-install windows and it will probably recognise the new battery properly.

!WARNING THIS WILL ERASE DATA - YOU NEED TO BACK UP YOUR STUFF!

C.
The third option is that the battery is duff, take it back to where you brought it and tell then the problem, they mey be able to help you or give you another battery.

Charging a Garmin Nuvi 260W

Generally most batterys are left on the charger overnight, thats a good way to ensure a full charge, but as you will be using it in your car, it doesn't matter much as power is always available.

To ensure best possible battery life when you have a brand new battery, charge it fully and then drain it almost to 0% Draining most batterys into 0% will be harmfull instead of helpful, I assume the nuvi uses a Li-ion battery so draining it fully is not a good idea, drain it almost fully and then charge it fully.

And you are good to go, repeat the process if you leave the unit unused for a month or two for best battery life.

Thank you,

Nokia n81 running a new battery down in 6-8 hours on standby mode

Even if the battery is new, if it is not charged properly it can run down pretty fast. To reset the battery I recommend running the battery all the way down - charging the battery all the way back up to full - and then repeat. Also, make sure you do not charge the battery after it is full. Most phones or charge units have signals to tell you when the battery is fully charged. Do not charge the battery overnight.
These are the best ways to protect the life of a battery.
