I purchased a broken Miele G892SCU Plus dishwasher for next to nothing in hopes that I can repair and install it. The lower spray does not function. It spins freely and is not clogged, the filters are clean, and I do not suspect any mechanical impediment. Becuase the dishwasher features a "top solo" cycle, I'm inclined to believe that there must be a solenoid/valve that closes the inlet to the lower spray arm that may have failed. I have not taken it the machine apart yet, and am hoping someone with experience can tell me if my thinking is right or if there is likely another cause for this. Any input would be appreciated. (If I'm way off, I don't have much invested in the machine)
Got a bargain here ,a miele ?? the rolls royce of machines ,cant say i have repaired one of these myself but if no water from bottom spinner then i am sure it could be the programmer like you suspect and a solonoid operated valve ,most likely fault is the programmer so by pass the valve and just use the ,main wash and never mind about the top only cycle .If it is the programmer then no doubt it would cost more than a new cheap machine so the previous owner sold it ,like a second hand car if it plays up put it in auction
