How do you put the back, back onto this fs1? The band keeps getting in the way! Back came off easily enough, popped off after unscrewed. Band is still on watch, have tried to slide back into grooves but just does not fit, keeps popping up on one end. Any solution? Can this band be removed and put back on?

You have to remove band in order to fit caseback back onto the watch. Insert pocket knife blade between band and case lug and pry inwards. This motion should release the band. It will be a lot more difficult to fit the band back on and you will probably need to buy springbar tool. Rate me plz.

Where can I find replacement links or a replacement band for an aquaforce rothco 04Q US Marines watch It is a very unique band with tag hauer type u shaped links

As far as links go only the manufacturer would carry them. However a replacement band can be easily installed and can be purchased at your local Wal-Mart. You need to measure how wide the band is where it connects to the watch in MM (most bands have a width that is uniform however I've seen some before that get smaller as you move away from the head). The band is held onto the head by a part known as a spring bar. In order to remove the band get something small like a dental pick (that's what I use) and push the bar in while at the same time pulling on the band. If you don't pull the spring bar will reengage and snap back in. Removing the band is fairly simple however the trick is getting them back in. I line the spring bar over the natch and try to get one side in at a time although on some watches both sides of the bar must be pressed in at the same time before the band will fit in the slot. It really just takes patients and a steady hand.

I am trying to set the time on my FS1. When I go to the time mode it goes right back to the time display.

On my tips and tricks page is a link to the user manual.

The trick with the FS1 is that you have to wait between button pushes. Don't try to skip ahead of the pace of the watch, it is slow to set anything. That is the rub with 1 button operations.

Push the button, wait for the prompt, enter the info, push the button, wait for the prompt, etc.

if after trying this it still doesn't work you will either need to take it back and exchange or send into polar. There is a warranty service available. Again that link is under my tips and tricks.

Battery in a Polar F7 heart rate monitor

Hello
You can change the battery in your polar f7 if the battery is worn out.
1. Insert the tip of a pen knife into the lifting point and lifting the back up. The back of the watch is only pressed into place and will come off easily this way.
2. Grab the small clip that is extending across the surface of the battery with a pair of tweezers. Slide the tweezers toward the end that hooks down into the watch. Pull the hook end of the clip out of the watch and remove the clip from the battery

3. Match the old battery with a new one at any electronic store. The store will be able to read the writing imprinted on the battery to make sure that you get the correct battery type for your heart monitor.

4. Press the new battery into the watch making sure that the writing on the battery is facing up.

5. Press the holding clip back into place. Handle the clip with tweezers only, since it is very thin and can be bent or lost easily. Once it is in place, press the back of the watch on.

I have a problem putting the band back on a tissot 1853 watch. The pins will not align with the holes is there some trick to this that i cant figure out or are the arms bent on the watch?? Need help...

mcdevito75 here, It"s areal pain but you just have to hang in and keep trying. Postion the band and pins as you can for easy assembly. If you give up see a small watch repair shop in your area, take a break while trying to fit the band if you get aggrivated.

How do I change the battery in a Polar FS1 Heart Rate Monitor?

Like most makers, they recommend that you have batteries changed at one of there service centers (to retain the waterproof seal.

Some people have problems when refitting the backs of watches and come onto this site to find out how they can get their watch going again. The cost saving does not seem worth the risk of damaging your watch. If your watch is still under warranty, then it will be invalidated by unauthorised repairs.

To find your near service center, go to Ploar.com and click on "support" and then "service" and "retail finder.

Removing the back to change battery

The plastic wrist band doesn't have to be cut away. You need to dislodge the spring-loaded end of the pin from the hole in the plastic with the blade of a sharp thin knife.

The you proceed to lift one of the 4 snaps to open the cover. The battery is under a white translucent inside cover.

The original battery was Sony SR621SW.

Pay attention to the rubber seal ring when putting the watch back together.
