I own a symphonic 27" television

I lost my remote to it a while back. I have purchased a universal remote in the past and it didnt take me to the game setting when I pressed input. I want to play my ps2 but I need to put it on game in order to do that but I cant with a universal remote. What can I do to solve this problem?

buy a oneforall can not it toset for my tv.

dont have the codes and play games. so will you please can you get me a code?

The TV doesn't recognize the remote anymore, so we can't play games on it, because we can't get it to true game mode. We can turn it on and adjust the volume manually & use the remote to change channels on the cable box.

I had this problem on a symphonic 27 inch TV I just bought from a friend who no longer had a remote. The thing with the menu and buttons on the front of the TV doesn't actually change the TV to true game mode. I don't know what it acutally does, but it isn't really in game mode. When it is in true "game mode" you can't change the channels until you turn game mode off. What I did was bought a universal remote (a specific one that someone told me about) for 8 bucks at walmart and I was then able to switch to game mode with the Input select on the remote. The remote I bought that actually worked is this one: http://www.amazon.com/Philips-Magnavox-PM435S-4-Device-Universal/dp/B00006686A/ref=acc_glance_ce_ai_-2_1_tit/002-3174824-8273629
Make sure you look at it before you buy it and make sure it has a button that specifically says "input" on it. I know that some of the universal remotes don't have an input select button or one that doesn't work. As long as you get a Philips-Magnavox that has that button, you should be ok. Much better solution that paying 30 bucks for a new remote specifically for the TV. Hope this helps.

I live in Michigan and I went to a couple of Walmarts and they don't carry this remote especially at 8 bucks. Circuit city for 20 bucks. But you say it will change the into game mode. Thanks

Tv needs video to play games but lost remote

Buy a universal remote, the codes for each individual TV are in the manual, and program that remote to work with your current television.

Remote doesn't work

Sorry Sarge...this problem is not that simple...and for some reason these Sylvania tv's won't allow you to access game mode that easy. I think the best idea (assuming the universal remote doesn't work out)...just buy another ORIGIANL remote from the manufacturer! Hooowah!

No Picture or Sound

I dont think it's worth getting a repair man to come fix a Symphonic TV... honestly, they are problem prone... and It would cost much less to just buy a whole new one. I have a symphonic tv with no remote, and now, I cant switch into game mode! It's like they designed their tv's to be crappy!
