Remove "Toner Empty" message

remove the used bottle. Turn off the machine. Turn on the copier and follow the directions. If it does not work, turn it off again, put in a new bottle then turn on.
If that doesn't work, turn it off and try to get a refund on your new bottle of toner.

remove the toner, check if there is any debris perhaps also blowing in the guides of the toner. Give it a shake and refit it.

Close the doors and if you still get the message you need to replace the empty toner

take the new cartrige out. you will see there is a fuse on it. take it out and put new fuse any amp. put the cartridge back and close the door for 2 sec. take the cartrige out and remove the fuse. put it back in. it should work.

you will find under the setup a toner egnore put it on.
and swich unit off and on.

Set toner container. The toner container is not set properly. Set the toner container properly. See page 5-5 of the operation guide.

Replace Waste Toner Box The waste toner box is full. Replace the waste toner box with a new one. See page 5-5 of the operation guide.

if you toner is empty replace it.
if you replaced it and it still say emty do the following

you will go in service mode.

look for ignore toner put it on.
if it still not working open the fax take out the cartridge. you will see ontop of the cardrige is a fuse. put a new on in put cartrige back. close the door for 5 sec. and take cartrigde out and remove the fuse. it should work then.

I have just resolved the "Install black cartrige" issue on my printer I am not sure if it will solve everyone's problem but these are the steps I took to solve the problem.

1. removed the black cartrige.
2. removed all the paper from the tray and noticed that one of the pages was a little jammed.
3. I then turned the printer on and off again and still encountered the "Install black cartrige" error message.
4. I then put the black cartrige back in the the printer and restarted the printer.
5. When the printer restarted it started to initialize correctly and I perform some test prints to confirm that it was back up and running.

If you want to use the toner cartridge after the printer decides that it's empty, you can do it by going into the Machine Settings in the menu, and option 8 (at least on my Magicolor 2590MF) says "Toner empty stop?". Just change that to NO, and you're set to go.

According to the operation manual: If alarm light and data light blink every 5 seconds- TONER LOW (purchase more toner and have it ready when the 'toner empty' is indicated). If alarm light and data light stay lit- TONER EMPTY (replace toner cartrige with new one).

The samsung sf 5100 toner cartridge has a .05 Amps fuse in it. This gets blowed when you switch on the machine.This is used to reset the page counter and also to inform the machine that you have inserted a new toner. Now this recycled cartriges will not have this fuse and this is the reason why your machine shows TONER EMTY message! If you dont get the same rating fuse, put any fuse of the same size, insert the toner, close the door and just switch on the power and switch off immediately. Then take out the Toner cartridge and remove the fuse. Now your cartridge is ready for use.
