Left Headphone not working

This has happened before with the same model of headphones, only the left headphone stopped working after a year or so. With this new pair, it stopped working after 3 months or so. Sound comes only out of the right headphone and not the left.

Actually, if you open it up, you can sometimes see the problem easier. It may be one of two problems. The first would be that the wiring inside of the little rubber bits aren't connected properly.
The second may be that the wiring got loose of the solder, and you may need to re-solder it back.
Hope this helps.

I can hear only from right headphone of my sony bluetooth

Either the left headphone is shot or the headphone jack is messed up. Try a different set of head phones if its same result see about replacing the jack.

Hello, My left headphone are not working, meaning, no audio. Is there a way I can fix this? If so, how (step by step for Dummies please)

The headphone may be faulty - may have a broken wire leading to the left headphone.
Try a different headphone to see if this headphone is OK, if so the the other headphone is faulty.
If this headphone is also does not work on the left headphone then the MP3 player phone jack is faulty and either the phone jack needs replacing or it needs resoldering onto the circuit.
This is not a job for a Dummy, you need a friend who knows electronics.

Sony MDR-J10, left headphone not working ,probably having some wire defect, Has been working fine for me since last 3 years . please contact me for more information

I found one for $5.95 including postage listed on eBay.
If you like that model, that is a way to replace it.
Or buy another headphone locally.
It is just not worth repairing

My left headphone of my ipod is not working anymore what can i do to fix this ?

The headphone may be faulty and not the IPod. Connect a different headphone to the IPod to check if the left headphone is still faulty. If the left headphone is still faulty then the IPod headphone is probably faulty and needs to be repaired.

My left headphone stopped working after a year or so. How can i fix this?

The copper wires inside the cable have broken. Since you don't know where the break occurred all you can do is to open the left headphone, remove the speaker, cut a piece of the cord and resolder it to the speaker. Test it, if it's fixed just put the headphone back together. If not, cut another piece. If you must cut more than a third of the cable to get it working then it's dead, just buy a new pair.

I am having the same problem with a twist, sound works from the fm and headphone but only from the right side no left audio. I have the 760 and it only has one speaker and my guess it that it gets its feed...

If you use the headphone jack a lot and your missing the audio from the speaker and one channel from the headphone jack, then it's possible that some of the headphone jack connections have broken off of the PC board. The audio goes to the speaker through the headphone jack.

Please see this link for more info and read the section about the headphone jack.

Wire broke right next to headphone jack; any easy way to fix?

if you are not handy, then no.
repair will require disassembly of the ear piece, splicing of the wire, and reassembly.

No sound coming out of the left speaker

It sounds like you have a break in your cord right where it joins the plug. You will either have to replace the plug or buy new headphones.
