I just replaced the lamp in my Hitachi 50vf820 tv and it comes on for a second then cuts out and blinks red temp light.

Make sure all the fans are working correctly. If the problem persists then it might be the ballast, the power supply or a bad temp sensor.

Hitachi UltraVision Tv Keeps turning off. The lamp LED blinks. Both light engine and lamp are new.

How many times this standby/power light blinks at one time switch ON? Count it carefully. These blinks are fault indication, and known as blinking codes. From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON; you can get an idea about the faulty circuit stage inside the TV. This will make repair easy. Hitachi 55VG825 rear proj television blinking light and screen doesn't light up

Refer to owners manual ! Blinking indicates the type of fault that is occuring on all your tv sets. example : power light on red - indicator light beside it green but blinks rapidly for half a second rapidly then shuts off. This refers to a faulty lamp or a lamp that is near its expiration. Read your manuals if indicators refer to easy repair sweet, but if it says call tech then bummer...
