if the power light comes on but the screen stays black, then your TV might be on the wrong input Channel. for example: you switch inputs when you play games or watch dvds vs. watching regular tv. Try to change the input
I had the same problem with HDMI input to the RX-V373 from a DirecTV receiver. The RX-V373 volume display and menus on the screen are HD only, which forces the monitor to switch modes when viewing SD.
My solution was to turn off 480i and 480p signals from the DirecTV receiver, and also turn off its native output. The DirecTV receiver then upconverts SD signals to HD. Changing RX-V373 volume then doesn't affect monitor video mode.
ok hook up the audio video in the OUTPUT on vcr and INPUT on the tv then make sure tv is changed to the right input channel now go to vcr and change that channel to AV,.if AV isnt there you may have to go into menu of vcr and do a channel search, but when you change it to AV on vcr you should see the picture
i think by accident you have changed the input when you went to change the volume. look for a button labeled " input" or "video" select on the remote and scroll through the various choices. you should get your picture back.
try turning the channel up or down with the tv remote to input 1 or 2 depending on which one is being used for the dvd player. tv should use input 1. dvd should be on input 2.
when turning the channel set it to show the dvd screen, then go up 1. if it doesn't show, return and go down 1.
You're talking about picture-in-picture. Simply hook up a second source or split the one cable input you have now into two leads with a splitter from somewhere like Radio Shack. Then bring up the PIP and select the input. Now you have two different things to watch each from their own channel. This wont work if you have dish... But you could watch the DVD perhaps if you hook it into one of the available inputs in the back of the Tv and select that input in PIP mode.
Good Luck!

There is no individual fuse for the SAT input. If you were able to watch 2 channels at once and then, after a storm, (with nothing else changing) you can only watch one channel, then one of the tuners has been damaged and should be replaced by someone with experience.
