My daughter's favorite Barbie's head broke off. How can I fix it? The top of the neck is chipped just a little and I can see a purple plastic part rolling around in the head.

Ok the neck is chipped or the broke off. The purple piece is the Barb that holds the head on. If you really don't want to buy a new one you can soak the head in hot water for 3 to 5 minutes and then it will be soft enough to work with. You should be able to now take tweezers or needle nose plyers and remove anything stuck in the head.now if the purple piece won't stay in the neck anymore you can take hot glue and put a little into the hole in the top of the neck and put a screw with a washer on it into the glue.the washer has to be slightly larger the the hole in Barbie's head once the glue dries. Take Barbie's head and soak it in hot water 3 to 5 minutes and work it over the washer .the hot glue should hold the screw very solid if done right and the washer will allow the head to spin still. If it is an older one you can use a round wooden bead instead of the washer and it should last a long time. My daughter pulls the heads off and interchanges them and the screw hasn't come out yet.

The best thing to do is just get it all together, get some strong super glue and hope for the best really. Or just go buy another one!

Fixing it? I don't believe so. But you can go online Mattel and find out if there was a recall due to a flaw or defect in the production of it you may be able to get her a new one. If all else fails and your daughter really really really wants that one Barbie!!!( been there done that) A local electrician or handyman might be able to help you out.

Head broken off on silkstone barbie. Part that holds head knob in neck is broken.

I have had the neck knob break as well and leave the ball part of the neck knob in the neck. I was able to push the ball off center and get it wedged so it didnt spin and then I used a drill and small drill bit to get a hole in the ball and then I was able to screw in a screw part way and then grab the screw with some pliers and it came straight out. I contacted barbie collector and they mailed out a new neck knob.

I just bougth a Barbie video Girl for my little Daughter, the problem is that on screen appears a memory card with and exclamation sign, no video has recorded yet, record, play and delete buttons dont work...

We just encountered this problem--Barbie's hard disk is full .You need to delete the files from the drive (even if you think you've downloaded them all previously). You need to tell your pc/mac to show hidden files (default setting is to hide them), then manually delete them. Not sure what started this problem, although improperly ejecting the Barbie drive might be the culprit, as this problem happened after we did this.

I am missing the bobbin pin on my daughter Barbie 11301 Mechanical Sewing Machine (retainer for top bobbin in front of machine) would anyone have one they are no longer using or could mesure theirs so I...

Probably easier to wind bobbins on another machine until your daughter is of an age where a proper sewing machine replaces a toy one.
These are not really designed for service and repair.

Which way do the front brake pads face, out or in?

Yes, The front brakes are designed for the torque of stopping to "Pull" away from the neck. if you look at a bigger bike it has brackets to help support it in the rear brakes as it rests on the frame while stopping...the front brakes do not have these brackets. However if you DID install these same brackets on the front and had them mounted backwards then i see no harm. granted its just a little barbie bike. but still...you want your daughter safe at all costs.

Hope this helps...post a comment if you need me to explain or clarify anything .
