When you press the Mode button:

1st press: FRI, SAT, SUN arrows flash. This is chronograph mode. Use START/STOP for stopwatch and RESET for split/clear.

2nd press: MON arrow flashes. This is where you set the alarm. Use START/STOP to advance number, and RESET to switch between minute and hour.

3rd press: TUE arrow flashes. This is where you set digital time. Seconds (in analog time window) flash first. Use START/STOP to reset seconds or advance number, and RESET to switch between seconds, minutes, hour, date day, and date month. Press mode again to exit. Have fun!

You have to adjust the date every February (28 or 29 days), April, June, September and November (each 30 days). Self adjusting calendars are called Perpetual Calendars and this feature is quite expensive, especially in mechanical watches. Your watch has calendar ring with 31 days printed on and the simple calendar mechanism which is changing dates from 1 to 31 inclusive,day after day, so, when the 30-day month is ending and there is no 31st date to follow, your calendar is showing 31st anyway,instead of 1st of the next month. This is when you have to adjust date. Now about the date adjusting. If you pull out crown gently, you will notice there are two clicks (positions), not just one. So the first click, when crown is not pulled out fully, is exactly for day/date adjustment. If you pull the crown further out, watch is in hand adjustment mode. Try it carefully and you will find out the right position.

Pull out the crown and advance hands forwards. When the hour and minute hand will pass 12 o'clock (midnight), you will notice the day hand will jump to the next (following) day. Advance hands as long as needed to reach the desired day.

Purchased my Armitron men's digtal watch in 2009. Here's the twist on setting the name of the Day of the Week on my watch. When you get to the name of the Day of the Week flashing.. you don't get Su...Mo...Tu... You get 01..02..03... up through 99. (You think.. what the hell is this??) DON'T TRY TO SET Sun.. Mon.. etc here.. you won't find it. The puzzle solver..and it is.. IS TO SET THE LAST TWO DIGITS OF THE YEAR HERE.. Example... it is now 2010.. so scroll thru the numbers and set it to "10"!! Now.. when you go and set the numerical day date e.g. 3 for March, and set the numerical day - e.g. 15, the on-board computer?? in the watch will AUTOMATICALLY SET THE NAME OF THE WEEK!! never change week or date when day is on "sun" or "mon" also never change date or week or day when time is between 9 pm and 5 am.
to change day, move time back and forth between 10 pm and 2 am.
moon will change only after 24 hr round (not during quick day change)
