You could re-solder the USB 2 socket, or buy a laptop ide to normal ide adaptor (or an empty laptop drive caddy) and plug it in that way.

Hi, I need standard spec info of VGA built on Asus P5GC-MX 1333 whether 64 Mb or 128 Mb. Many thanks & regards, Richard

you can use up to a maximum of 224 mb of your computer's RAM for the onboard video chip to use. You can install a video card with any amount of memory (which would give you a lot better video performance).

Biostar gf7100 mp - wont boot with ext usb drive attached

Hi, What you have to do is shut down the machine, pull the CMOS battery(CR2032) out and out and put your jumper on pins 1-2 from 2-3. Wait 30 seconds and put the battery back in. After installing the battery, put your jumper back to pins 2-3 from 1-2. This should work.

Installed a ECS GeForce6100PM-M2 into a custom built computer. Cpu is AMD Athlon 64 x2 6000+, Ultra 1000W PSU, 4 GB DDR2, 2-650GB WD HD SATA, 1-60GB ext WD HD USB, XFX 9800 GTX 512 MB DDR3. Now my problem...

If you're using an LCD monitor it's probably the monitor that's at fault. Since you've had this happen with both the onboard video and two different expansion cards, the motherboard is pretty well eliminated as the cause. It sounds like you are describing the monitor backlight going out. Next time the trouble occurs, look closely at the display and see if you can still faintly make out the video. Switching to a different monitor or repairing your current one should fix the trouble
