Hi i get an error code of 8001050f when i go to play my video games can you tell me how to fix it so i can play my games

go to the play stations web site to find out what the code means.

if your ps3 has a message of trophy registration error sony will say you need to turn in your ps3 for service this is not true i fixed mine by saving my game data on a thumbstick then deleted the game save data shut off my ps3 then turned the main power (the switch in the back) off for a few minutes to allow the power to dissipate. Then i restarted the ps3 copied my game save data back and my COD modern warfare 2 played like a champ!
i did lose all of my trophies but the game saved data allowed for 12 percent of them to come back apon completing one special op mission.

Registration of the trophy information could not be completed. The game will quit. (8001050F) This is what comes on and cannot play game

yes, the playstation network has a clock bug, this is why log in does not work and trophy games will not start, this is only the case on original playstations not the slim ps3 sorry

Problem (8001050F)

This is a worldwide problem which has only struck recently, sony hope to repair it within 24hours and release a new update. They say it may damage your system to play it during this time but I think games where you can't gain trophys shouldn't do any harm.

Error code 8001050F

You can only wait unfortunatly, play your games offline whilst disconnected, Modern Warfare two has trophy issues when trying to play, older games should work though.

I got an error code 8001050f on my ps3 it wont work on or offline

This is a known problem with the recent update.
As many others have reported this bug occurs when you are supposed to earn a trophy and nothing happens. Somehow user accounts get corrupted :

- Trophy Syncing won't work (Error 8022D11)
- PSN games tell us that the system is not activated.
- Other games will not work either, telling that the data was created by another user and we would have to restart the game.

The only way to get rid of this problem is by deleting the current user and creating a new one with the same name. This however ruins most of the save games because the games won't accept them as ours!! Here is some gathered information :

- It can happen with every games supporting trophies.
- It happens since 2.50 and still happens with 2.52.
- There still is no official statement that this bug exists!

Sony Network is experiencing sporadic outages in certain areas today.
It may be a scheduled system upgrade or maintenance - but be assured you are not the only one facing this issue.
No UP time has been announced by Sony - they are working to get the system up and running as soon as possible.
The problem is not on your end.
Keep trying to connect.
