Is is possible to have a second cordless phone?

I believe I am asking if one get get a pair of cordless receivers/phones operating at the same frequency of the "main" unit. Is the RF frequency tunable in any simple manner?

You may not be able to add to your current phone, but multiple-handset cordless phones are widely available. Just add extra handsets as you need them up to the system capacity. Just visit any large retailer for a selection, or check online shopping sites.

As far as tuning goes, you can't tune the frequency per se, but many cordless phones have a "channel" button. These let you switch channels while you're on a call if you experience interference.

Siemens Gigaset 4200 Cordless keep searching for base

The handset should be returned to the charging station, let it set for a few seconds. If this is a satellite phone, make sure the main phone "base unit" is connected to phone outlet and plugged in. After the phone has established its physical connection with the base again you can remove it and use it like normal.

Problem with att cordless phone wont ring

First, check the wirings (power cord and phone cord). Are they properly plugged in to their outlets (power outlet and phone jack, respectively)? Have you tried plugging in another phone? Does it ring? If yes, it could be your phone system, if not, let's try this troubleshooting steps. This is one of the basic troubleshooting steps for cordless phones. Unplug the battery from the phone/s, unplug the power plug from the main base unit. Wait for 10-15 seconds and plug everything back in. First the batteries then the power plug.

I have a Panasonic KX-TG2730 cordless phone set. It is a single line phone. We had to unplug it recently and get new batteries for the phone. When we put the batteries in they worked on the phone but when...

Some Panasonic cordless phones come with up to five handsets each will need to be properly adjusted. You may need to set the main handset to synchronize with the base unit plugged into the telephone wall jack and assign special configuration numbers to the other handsets in order to properly identify each one within a specified location. One handset left in the turned on mode may make it impossible to place calls with the any of the other handsets. This will continue until either the battery dies or fails on the handset or the phone is switched off and replaced in its charger for charging again. Synchronize the main handset by pressing the MENU button on the handset, then pressing the down button IN order to select the number you wish to assign to that handset. Repeating this process if you have already done so will greatly decrease the level of errors experienced with panasonic phones MORE USEFUL INFORMATION FOR ALL YOUR ELECTRONICS When troubleshooting these units, there are always several variables to consider. First check to see what last occurred with the unit such as did the children play video games, did the electricity go out due to bad weather. You may see that there are many possibilities but let's focus on what occurred last to the unit. Once we determine what happened last, we may isolate the actual cause of the problem. The actual cause may be associated with projection issues, older versions (Picture tube), interference from devices located nearby, and even a radio turned on and located really close to your unit. This is normally known as electromagnetic interference to electronics and is very common with the error you have provided today. Please continue to look for anything EXTERNAL to the unit before looking at the internal components. I have been working on these a long time so feel free to follow up with me.

I unplugged vtech tel to move to another location-now i have CL flashing and none of the phones have dial tone-how do i fix-thank you very much for your help

The main unit with the answering machine needs to be plugged into and outlet and also plugged into a working phone jack. The other units just plug into an outlet and speak to the main unit wirelessly. Make sure the main unit is plugged into a phone jack.

One of my cordless phones says not registered. How do I fix that? Also, another phone says check battery. Where can I get another battery? Warranty?

Put the non-registered handset in the master base unit. Unplug the base unit for about 10 seconds and plug it back in. Wait for a message to change on the handset and press and hold the handset locator button for 4 seconds. This will re-register the handset. Do not remove the handset from the base while performing the above steps. Good Luck!

Continuous dial tone on phone line . When i try to dial out- i just get a continuos dial tone- happening on my 2 cordless, landline is fine. Dont use a magic jack, changed out hardware, new cordless dont...

There are two possible answers to this problem. The first thing is to check on the cordless phones, is a 2 way switch, one setting is for DP=Dial pulse (setting for old rotary phones) 2nd setting is TT= Touch Tone. I would guess that the setting should be set to TT on both cordless phones for touchtone.
Second thing to do is to plug in the base unit of your cordless phone to a jack that currently has a landline phone plugged into it that works and test again. If cordless phone works OK then go back to the original jack that didn't work and reverse the wires in the jack: that is what is known as a "polarity" issue.

E4 trouble condition comes up on screen after power up

Error #4, You probably need to reset the phone by unplugging the main unit from the power source then plugging it back in abd re registering the handsets by setting them in the main cradle for about 10 seconds each. if this doesn't work try the manual if you have it still and see what E4 error means. Good Luck. Sometimes with electronics all you need to do when they wont work is unplug then and plug them back in while holding the power button on. This is amazing trick that no one wants anyone to know about. it works great on VCR's and DVD players.

I have a GE 25922 5.6GHz cordless phone. It has 3 receiver. 1 of the receiver all ways says unavailble and it does not ring or can't call out. Can you help me with phone? Thank you, Sai.

UNAVAILABLE Indicates the handset is out of range. Or an additional handset is in use. Or there has been a base power failure, in which case you must place all handsets on the main base cradle for 20 seconds to re-register.

Transmission band

The information you got with the phone will tell you the optimum distance the units will work from each other, remember these are ideal conditions, foil insulation and other types of barriers may shorten this path. I don't believe you will have any trouble because most houses are not large enough to breach the specifications. Thank You. Jerry

CORDLESS PHONE - NO DIAL TONE

Plug out the power from the main charger and then plug in again. It needs to reset after they have gone dead. Immediately you can lift one of them off the charger and you will hear your dial tone.
