I bought the sims 3, but the serial number doesnt work! It stands that the serial number is invalid! What should i do? Could i get a new one from here?

I bought a new trac fone, and am trying to transfer things from my old phone. When I turn on the new phone there is a lock on it. I can't find the way to put in the SIM card number. I can't unlock the phone.
I tried pushing the lock, and the space bar. I think it's the space bar. The lock is on the same key.
One of the messages states the sim card is invalid. I did not put in a sim card number, only a serial number. How do I unlock it.

You probably just typed it in wrong. O's look like 0's(zeros), B's look like 8's... Did you put in the dashes, or leave them out... Try it both ways. Good Luck!

The SIM card must be of the same service. For example, you can't use an AT&T sim card on a T-Mobile phone. If they are the same service, your sim is not made to work with that phone. You will have to get a new sim at your local retailer.

it might be the right code but a 0 could be an o and a 1 an i try swithching curious letters like that one of them is bound to work i always have those problems with serial numbers

i have a china made mobile n8 but after inserted it shows invalid sim what's the solution of this problem

I have a china mobile and for Sim2 I have the exact same IMEI number specified above. And I too get an Invalid SIM for Sim2. I am now believing that this IMEI number is invalid or blocked.

make sure that its in correctly and wipe of the golden contacts off the sim and on the phone, if it still doesnt work you may need a new sim card

hope youre not trying to install it using the old serial number on the sticker on your case? It should have come with a new serial number to install. You also have to have XP or Vista to perform an upgrade otherwise you need a full installation CD.

Actually the prolem doesnot lie with your phone.
ok iill try to give a best solution.
1) did you call you customer care about the Sim card activation,if you Sim card is not activated you might get "INVALID SIM CARD".
2)remove and place you Sim card properly into the phone as put the lock and check whether it fits perfectly.if your misplaced it wont work
3)IF your simcard is old,then its the problem with the sim card,try replace a new one.

i say its not the problem with you phone as long as your phone's menu,keypad,camera etc etc are working fine..
