Olympus FE-190 Digital Camera Logo

When I press the power button for my Olympus FE-190 to turn the camera on nothing happens. I haven't used it for a while so I initially thought that the battery might not have any charge. When I put the battery in the charger the charging light stays on for a few minutes and then goes out. I'm wondering if the battery needs replacing. I don't use the camera very often, have had it for a few years and, stupidly, have a tendancy to leave the battery in it when the camera is not in use.

    Thank you.

Yes, the battery is in the right slot & position. The battery is the one that came with the camera which I've had for about three to four years. The camera hasn't been used very often & the battery hasn't been removed from the camera between uses apart to recharge the battery on the odd occasions that I wanted to use it. no the camera wasn't exposed to water.

Well, are your batteries in the right slots, and put in right position? Are the batteries used? Was your camera exposed to water? These might be reasons why this is happening to you. If this isn't a very good solution, I have more details, want them? Email me at [email protected] with the subject on the message as: MOREDETAILSFORCAMERA
Thanks,

Hi,
Most likely the battery has been depleted. When you are not using you camera you should always recharge the batteries every now and then. This ensures that they will last longer. Try buying a new battery for your camera.

How do I turn off the flash on my Olympus FE-190?

Press cursor-right (marked with a lightning bolt), then select the desired flash mode. To turn the flash off, select the lightning bolt in a circle with a slash through it.
