I can not get the media manager for it to bring up music. Also, should I download a WMA for it to convert. Mine says on the packaging to download the Coby Media Manager but it came with no software. Not...

Coby Media Manager is embedded on the MP3 player. When the MP3 player is connected to your PC, that is all it will say is 'USB Connected'. To access the coby media manager, go to Start > Computer > It will be a 'Removable Disk' drive, double click it, inside of there will be a coby-mediamanager.exe file, this is the software, double click it to install it. It will put an ICON on your desktop, this software is what you use to sync music, photo or video to your MP3 player. If you need the Coby Media Manager - you can downlod from here: http://www.cobyusa.com/files/software/MP707_Media_Manager.zip

You need to use the coby media manager to delete or upload file to your player. In BearShare, go to the File menu and select Explore Downloads, note where your files are, then go to the coby media manager to transfer them. Here is a link to the manual for your device:

I had a Coby MP-610 (which died) installed on my computer with the Coby Media Manager still there, I bought the new MP-707 one and the Coby Media Manager doesn't update to the current 2010 manager and the...

Instead of using the Coby Media Player, use Windows Media Player to store your songs and you can sync them from there. I bought a MP601-2G for my nephew and my Bro' in law's girlfriend tried to get/sync some songs for him and could'nt figure it out. They gave it back to me to figure out. I noticed that the Media manger was missing, they must of deleted it accidently or something else. Then I read an answer similiar to mine where the person didn't have the Media Manager and the solution was as I described. I made a new folder, named it and then used a website called beemp3.com to download songs. After I found the song downloaded it which sends it to the websites playlist. From there I right clicked the file, clicked copy and pasted it to windows media player where it says drag and drop to sync. IMPORTANT: HAVE WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER OPEN ALREADY AND MINIMIZE UNTIL YOUR READY TO DRAG AND DROP TO THE SECTION THAT SYNCS THE SONG TO THE COBY PLAYER. Make sure the coby player is connected to the computer.
It sounds complicated, but it's much easier than it sounds. Email me to let me know how it works out at [email protected]

My coby -mp 610-2g was hookup to my cpu and i

Hello,

Having devices connected during reinstallation of the Operating System will lead to a faulty detection on the USB ports.
Connected devices will not be recognized.

How to get the USB ports functioning again:

>0. First disconnect all apparatus connected to the USB ports.

Step 1.1 will take a long time again, I'd prefer step 1.2:
1.1 Perform a new installation of Windows XP (the long way) or
>1.2 Delete all USB hardware in the Control Panel (the short way).

>2. Install the software for your device and perform an update.
Update Windows Media Player 11 and / or Coby Media Manager.

>3. Open the software WMP11 or the Coby Media Manager.
Connect the device and make a setup for connection in the
software you use.

When you need more help for software or hardware configuration, just add a comment.

This mp3 wont format a play list

Hello,

For the MP-610 you can make playlists using Coby Media Manager.
In Coby Media Manager there's a help section that gives next information how to make playlists:
>>
You can create playlists to group songs (example “My favorite songs”).
To create a playlist, right click in the Playlists section (located on the left side of your Coby Media Manager window), and choose Add. A playlist is created. You can rename it using the F2 keyboard key.
<<
For Coby Media Manager download, go to next site:
http://www.cobyusa.com/?p=fix_mp822
Install the software as told and when running the Manager for the first
time go to the page top: Tools > Device Manager..
Select your player from the Devices List, this software can be used for.
Add the device, AC or AL version. Finally enter OK under the Favorite Devices list.

You could try peer 2 peer downloads e.g. FrostWire.
A trusted download is available on cnet.com.

Remember the files that you download for being transferred to the player should have the extension and size as required in the specsheet / manual.
