Brand new phone set has a black out screen. Phone turns on, rings out/in but screen is displays nothing. Can you guide what is remedy?

Is your display on your phone working, and its just that the incoming calls notification is not working when you recieve calls? Have you tried a hard reset? (battery pull)
If your phones display is functioning, then more then likely it has to do with your settings of your phone. A long time ago with a older phone I had, I accidentally some how turned off my phones incoming calls notification. I was able to remedy this, but calling the phone company and they walked me through how to go into my phones settings and turn the incoming calls notifications back on. I would try this if you cant find it under your phones settings to turn the incoming calls notifications back on. Hope this helps. ;)

There are two causes, either your lcd is dead ot the display lights, there is no home remedy you need to visit a tech.

2 options.. from main screen, hit settings, go to sound & display, pick & choose in there or if u slide the home screen over so u see the right side of it, just tapd the far right icon, it will change from blue (ring) to a weird buzzy thing (vibrate) to a speaker with line thru it (silent mode). Yea, documentation a bit lacking, i found this quick link icon by complete accident!

"flashing" the phone has no effect on your display. Sounds like 1 of 2 problems:
1) Your display is bad 2) Your midplate is bad
