If your freezer is staying cold enough ( near zero degrees F.) then the cold control is bad. If it's not cold enough then you have a defrost problem.

Frigidaire ffhi7f7hw stopped working, the controls are not respomding, the display reads "OF" seal is okay freezer is level, and the compressor wont kick in, this unit is only six and a half years old

Start by unplugging and cleaning it gets dusty of course then they cant circulate air, also if your freezer has too much stuff the air cant circulate an they sometimes over heat, did you notice it running all the time before it quit, was the temp good need more details after you first clean the bottom andunder neath, un plug first hope this helps

I have to push on my freezer door to keep the blower running

there is a loose connection at the rear of the freezer near or around the compressor unit , i strongly advise you to get a professional to look it.

Freezer wont shut off

This is more than likely a sign of Freon issue, where the machine runs non stop trying to reach a temperature that it never does. Even though things are freezing, like meats and such, they have water in them and that freezing point is 32 F. Check the ice cream if you have it in there, does it seem softer than normal, or not as solid as you like. If so, you have a leak and a tech should be called

High Temp light will not go off even though the freezer seems to be working. Compressor does not stop running

What makes a compressor to run constant is the thermostat. Bang on it to see if it will turn off. turn the setting to 1. if it still wont shut off replace cold control (aka thermostat)
worry about the light later hope this was helpful

Freezer stopped working

A no power to the compressor is a good sign as far as being repairable is concerned. Locate the temperature control. Unplug the freezer and jumper the two main wires that connect to the control. Plug it in and if the unit runs replace the thermostat.

Kenmore upright - wont defrost, runs continuously and wont freeze properly

well don't be surprised, these electronic fridges run on dc electronics also and are sensitive to power surges. is this the freezer because there's no thermostats just the limit control. use a surge protector on the outlet to protect the electronics. if your still having problems get the limit sensors changed first (if applicable). if you want to go the safe way, I'd consider buying a surge protector and connecting it to the power.you can e-mail me with any questions @ [email protected]

Freezer stops and start

ice cream is always the last to freeze and a temp of minus -10 degrees is usually required to get it to get hard. if you put the ice cream in the door it will be especially tough to freeze. a good thermometor is a good investment as you can observe the temps. usually ten degrees or 20 degrees is what they run. yes they do cycle on and off as long as they hold temps thats good. the outside of the freezer gets warm because the hot compressed refrigerant is spread through piping near its surface giving up its heat of compression . setting the stat to max will freeze the ice cream eventually but utility bill suffers . good luck
