My dell inspiron 1525 stop short in booting.when you press power on lights will on but will be off after a few seconds and the power light will be the only remaining lit nothing appear on the screen.what happen to my computer and what can i do?

Try taking the battery out then holding the power button down for 30 seconds (this clears the power in the machine), then power back on and hopefully should work.
Remove 1 stick of ram and turn on, if no! take out the second one and put back the first, and power on, if okay you know the 1 stick is bad. Remove main battery and power on, "long shot" if no change chances are it is a motherboard issue.
Since it sounds like an issue with the Power first try to release flea power.Disconnect the charger,remove battery,press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds.Reconnect the battery and charger.Turn on system and check if it turns on. Please press F5 during startup and then check whether vga mode is coming or not?
Click on enable VGA Mode and then change the screen resolution inside.
Usually this happens when the vista boot loader fails. During boot up, keep tapping F8 and then select Disable Automatic Restart... and get the stop error code which usually starts with 0x
you can try adjusting the screen brightness manually by pressing the blue FN key plus the up/down arrow keys. brighter is FN+UP ARROW. if you have a program called quickset open that and there should be an option under power options/settings. if neither of those solutions fixes the problem then the problem is the screen. a geek squad (1-800-geek-squad) will repair or replace the screen for you. thank you for using fixya!
Are u able to get into the bios setup.....if so try to boot it in safemode...
if u arn't able to enter bios setup...then motherboard has to be replaced..
