Car would not start, after siiting for an hour it did start .

Problem started today, drove to hardware store three blocks away and when I came out car would not start. I walked home came back an hour later to tow it home car started. Drove home and then went to Auto store
Put it on diagnostic tool and the following codes came up P0340and CodeP0335
Crank shaft position sensor
probable causes
Crank shaft defective, Check connector and wiring to sensor, or check trigger wheel for damage
Code P0340 reads Cam Shaft sensor
Cam shaft sensor defective, Check sensor and wiring to sensor Engine mechanical condition timing belt/chain not in time
Can anyone tell me where approiximately where these parts the Crank Shaft is located and the Cam shaft is located so I can replace them if needed?
Thank you

Mcdevito75 here, BEST BET, let the shop do this work, too many un forseen problems could come up. The stalling and unable to start for a while could also be a bad ignition module, no test for this part, but I would have it changed, for if it is a bad ignition module, all this other work will not fix the stalling and later start of your car.

Car cut off and wouldnt start back up until after an hour

Hopefully your problem is the least expensive to fix: There is an emergency fuel cut off lever in the trunk. You may have inadvertently pulled it, or as happens in cars that are 17 years old, it may have corroded and stopped the flow of fuel.
Other possibilities are 1) bad fuel pump 2) fuel injectors are very dirty, or 3) the fuel filter between the gas tank and the fuel injector system is dirty.

Hi there?
It sounds like the injectors are blocked. the reason i say this is because the bottom of the tank is full of durt and it must have got through when it was low in diesel.
You need to get the car scanned, if the code p1517 comes up then the injectors are block for sure.
Good luck.........
