Most cordless phones have the battery in the receiver piece you hold to speak and listen. Usually, on the back you will find a door that is rather difficult to slide off, and the battery is under there. Remove your batter, and take it with you to purchase a new one to make sure the size, type and connector all match. Their are a lot of variations on that type of device.
that is probably your mouthpiece, it is located on the lower end of your handset and you have to open unit first to have it replaced. you could check that it has contact and nothing is blocking it before replacement.
Unfortunately that is the untold story about cordless phones they only have the capability of 1 open line be it the handset or or the base. There are some very pricey multi line systems, I have the same system bought two extra handsets and found out too late that I can only use them one at a time! Sorry probably not the answer you were looking for but thats the reality...
trun off phone and remove battery remove power from the base unit and leave them unpluged for 5 mins or more then turn both units on and replce onto base unit . Good luck
I had the same problem. What worked for me, after several unsuccessful registration attempts, was to disconnect the phone handset battery for about 1 min and then reconnect the battery. Run the handset registration procedure again. It registered for me on the first attempt after the battery reinstall. Good luck.
