DWF 61 wont end programme

Ran the dishwasher and it won't end the cycle. It appears to be stuck with 1 minute to go permanantly. Now I can't even run it.

  • Anonymous Jul 14, 2008

I also have this problem, which is a part of a long running saga. It started in Feb 2008 when I was also experiencing the dishes not being clean. I reported this to Indesit, who sent an engineer, who changed the spary arms and associated pipework. Three months later another engineer diagnosed a dirty/clogged float chamber. This was changed. Next engineer changed the motor. The appliance is three years old, and the old motor looks perfect to me. The problem lies in the fact that the engineers do not have enough time allocated to actually stay behind to see if they have cleared that fault. I am waiting for a 'senior technician' to visit on Wednesday 16th July. I'll let you know what his guess is, and how it goes.

Another symptom is that the timer appears to reset as the cycle reaches single figures, for example timer shows 6, then 26. Currently running a normal wash programme, started at 15:10, the time now 19:20 (this is a 2 Hour ish Programme)

After a number of visits by an engineer, who just guessed at what it could be, and then ordered a part, changed the part on another visit, I insisted that a 'senior Engineer' visit, and be allowed sufficient time to make sure the problem had been solved. The senior engineer visited a week ago, and finally diagnosed what I had been saying for six months, " The water heater is not getting hot". The senior engineer visited yesterday and changed the 'HEATER UNIT DWF61' part number MS-1801925 (UK). Just before he changed the heater unit he found an electrical connection disconnected, so it may have been the cause of the heater unit not working, although he changed the unit anyway. All working fine now, so will renew my maintenance policy.

How do i reset my whirlpool adg 7460 dishwasher ? programme seems stuck on end cycle?

Unplug it, move timer to start and plug back in. If it still seems stuck at the end it is almost certainly the timer. If it starts as normal, suspect the drain pump or pressure switch

When i push the normal wash button and it changes to another cycle after a few minutes then wont run at all just freezes up some water was in the basin modelmdb9100

What you're describing as changing to another cycle may be the dishwasher trying to display diagnostic information. For example, if you ran a Normal cycle and it appears to switch to Light Wash, check to see if the "Clean" indicator is also lit. This would indicate a motor fault, which would explain why it appears to "freeze".

SDW60 - AL08 Error - No Hot Water

First switch off the machine and unplug it at the mains. Leave for 10 minutes then plug back in and re set your machine to the programme you want. It might be that the control panel needs re-booting. They are a bit sensitive and mine had a mind of its own, washed to its own agenda, left water in the bottom etc etc. so that might be the problem with yours. If that doesnt do it, go on the Hotpoint website and find the customer service number. Ask if there is anything you can do to solve the problem yourself before paying for a service call. It could be your heating element has packed up but try the easy fix first. Thats what I did and it cost just the price of a phone call. They were really helpful.

I have a Bosch Exxcel Dishwasher, stuck at 1 minute to go

Make sure the drain pump is clear of any blockages and obstructions and that the drain hose wasn't kinked when you re-installed it.

Error code 2H

The control panel needs to be replaced (indicated by the "2H" error code displayed at the start of the cycle).
BTW - The number 1 displayed at the end of the cycle indicates the cycle has timed out (i.e., it doesn't mean 1 minute remaining). Hence the continued running of the unit. Until you replace the control panel, you'll have to manually cancel the cycle at this point.

My Smeg dishwasher DWF 64 SSE won't go onto rinse or dry

Easy one first try this to see if it helps

Water pre-heating
Your dishwasher may pre-heat the water. If so, and if the water entering the dishwasher is cool, the heater may take up to half an hour to heat the water.

To avoid the wait, increase the incoming water temperature before turning on the dishwasher. Do that by running the kitchen sink faucet until the water runs hot. Or increase the temperature of the hot water to the entire house at the hot water heater.

Warning! To lessen the risk of scalding, don't set the hot water heater temperature higher than 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
