The "OE" error code means the control detected the water level in the machine is above the overflow level. According to your description the first failure suspect is the water valve possibly stuck. Perform the troubleshooting as described in the tech sheets.

No lights on control board, door locked, MAH9700

Unfortunately the control board is dead and will need to be replaced. Here is the board to order if you decide to order it.
The E2 error code was for a stuck button and it would require the control board to be replaced also.

Why is it that during a wash cycle the code symbol: e3 apears on my maytag model #mah9700awm

I found a description of your problem on FixYa site at http://www.fixya.com/support/t9237240-e3_error_maytag_washer. It would appear that the error is related to the functioning of the hall sensor / harness. There are three solutions there that go through fairly detailed descriptions with links to further diagnose your problem.

Error: nd Water won't drain; Sounds possibly like motor on pump may not be working.

This washer uses an electric pump. Sometimes objects get into the pump. Take it apart and look for objects.

E3 and be error on maytag washer

E3 error code is indicating that the motor should be running but the hall sensor for the motor is not sensing the turning of the motor.

If the error code comes up all the time as soon as you press the power on button, then it means your control board is bad and reading incorrectly. If it only happens during a cycle, then you need a new motor unfortunately.

Note - You could disconnect the power supply for few minutes, say 15 minutes and see if that resets the control board and solve the problem unless follow what was mentioned above.

For replacement instructions you can download this repair manual for your front load and follow the steps given in the manual and here the search parts.

Hope helps.

Error code 0e

Hi, it is the pressure switch aka water level sensor. OE is overflow error. Pressure switch is located under top cover on front right hand side. It is round and has a rubber tube leading down to the drum and a electrical connection to the board. Paid maytag man to diagnose/install cost me about $150.

There is a recall on the circuit board for certain Maytag Neptune washers. See the link below:

Spin cycle doesn't get all the water out of clothes. Making a grinding noise when in spin cycle

Sounds like a Clutch issue. Can you confirm your model number is it a FAV6800A or FAV9800A?

Any error codes to the display ie. dC, uC, nd, etc?

MAYTAG NEPTUNE ERROR CODE OE

The "oe" code indicates a water pressure problem. Remove the water supply hoses and check the small metal screens inside the water inlet valve. Make sure they are clear of rust or debris. Check the water inlet valve solenoids. They can can be tested using a multimeter or ohmmeter. Check for continuity. A lack of continuity means a bad solenoid I will attach a photo for reference. Hope this helped and best wishes.
